What ruling has your league have re wearing of SKINS?
The SFL will start to fine clubs for wearing black skins in all grades!
To me it doesnt matter if they are black or tan as you can clearly see them.
What next any coloured players have to wear black???

SFL Waved a big stick at the start of the season. Said clubs would get fined and players sent off haven't seen it yet.
Cove advised all players and parents of requirement not to wear black only beige.
Lots of upset parents. Now we see in our first two games multiple players opposing us wearing skins, parents have gone nuts abusing Club and Committee because of cost to replace.
Looks like another half baked rule introduced by the SFL.
Reality is that for kids they are only a fashion statement anyway.

seems pretty stupid, does it really matter? Black seems to go with most uniforms. As long as it goes with what your wearing seems pointless to bring in the rule

I think it was introduced so players would not get confused.
If your side is wearing black shorts and the other side green shorts, and the bloke wearing green shorts has black skins showing below his shorts and a player with the ball in a pack or under the pump sees black, he may handball to the wrong player.

Never seen you go that fast that tearing a muscle is anywhere near a remote possibility TBB. No need for you to wear them Big Fella. The colour coding is the way to go if you must!!!

Thats pretty stupid, don't see the point in it. As far i I know the SAAFL doesn't care what colour skins you where with your footy shorts, whether it be black, white or skin tone ones. i've heard the odd story before that umpires have fined players for it but nothing like this.

Yes they do! The skins must be either the colour of your shorts or neutral beige, fines do apply.

That's correct, even my son in U11's at Goodwood (although that is Metro South FL) has to wear beige, but can't wear cream, bone, white, off-white or ivory.

I've worn black skins underneath my shorts for the 1st two rounds and nothing has been mentioned to me. And we wore white shorts on the weekend...

Supposedly it helps with your muscles. I have dicky hamstrings- I guess it's peace of mind more than anything else.
Not that I wear one, but same could be said for all these people wearing power balance bands...

When i was playing i always had dodgy groins. always had to keep them warm to keep the legs moving. And as im a bigger lad, they helped with the chaffing!

i also am in the same boat as you number 3 mainly wear them for groin troubles but always a winner on preventing chaif, i have things called core shorts specially for people with bad groins they are only made in the 1 colouor which is half black and half grey which is unfortunate, cost an arm and a leg to @ 160$ a pair
