I'm bound to get hammered for forgetting someone but it's all subjective.

Ahhh Schache - I remember playing on him. A man mountain. I tried to punch the ball as he marked it, missed and clipped him in the back of the head (definitely not deliberately). Some would've fired up. He just looked at me and shook his head as if to say "I've copped worse buddy".

The River Murray Football League actually formally recognised the 5 best players of all time (for each club) a few months back, as recommended by the clubs (who also nominated top 3 since the year 2000).

I am compiling this through my views and from what i've heard of others before me:

I STRESS IN NO ORDER

S Talbot
S Salisbury
J Hinson
J Rogers
B Salisbury

3 league players there who still i think all played more than 100 games for the club, the rest are all quality a grade players at plympton.

Players that missed out: G pegoraro, H Nadebaum, J Bourke, P Genekis, P Harby, A Brigmanis, CJ Williams, C Brooker, P Patterson, S Peek, B Pianta, B Bryant.

I hesitate to think of the players i've missed from years ago

Obviously there is Bryce Gibbs also but i'm not including him...

MC, you might want to revisit the criteria with the unlucky one. Yes he was great but not sure he fits it for this exercise.

Could have included Tony Mcguinness, but did not fit the criteria either

in fairness i never saw those guys play but would have thought geoff hardy, shane pitt and mark knowles would have to of gone close to making that list

Hardy very close AB but just pipped.
Shane Pitt was very good but not in top 5 for mine.
Knowles good but not in top 22 for me either.
