I personally have reactivated my gym membership (I maintain it, but don't use it during the season), taken on a personal trainer once a week for 6 weeks, & will start boxing classes next tuesday.
My focus at the moment is slimming down, but also working on building strength through a weights program.
any tips or anything else appreciated- bear in mind I'm 34 & a tad overweight.

I did notice the great Jimmy doing a pre season walk along the beach during the weekend.
He also did some tackling practice (on FC- and I quote " I've always wanted to tackle a penguin") .....very well, by the way. Gave up on tackling when he was put to the ground, very gently.
