just want to get an idea of what some clubs charge for beers on a thursday or saturday night at there club??
I personally think bout $3 a schooner and $4.50 a pint is fair, with say a happy hour on a saturday night for an hour after presentations with $2 schooners.
other things such as pre mix cans of bourbon or scotch $5-6, i think is fair!
also does your club have any deals with beers??
beer cards, we have beer cards which are $10 and after that your next 6 beers are $2, these can be stubbies, cans or schooners(maybe pints, not 100% sure on that one)
what other deals could there be??
I know it is important for the club to make money, but some of the prices I have seen, it would be just as cheap to drink at a night club!!!

@ HDFC:
$4 Stubbies or Cans of beer
$5.50-$6 Cans of Spirits
$4.50 Base Spirit + Mix
Then there's my shots bar, $4 Tequila (free if you do a 'tequila suicide'

), $6 Jagerbombs and whatever else I feel like doing for home-games. I make a mean cocktail for the ladies, my favourite being Blue Lagoons.
Always have a drink special of some kind for home games.

At our club:
$4 Pints (WED and Hahn Super Dry)
$4 Local Stubbies/Cans (WED, Pale, TED, Super Dry, VB etc)
$3.50 Light Stubbies/Cans
$4.50 Coopers Stout Stubbies
$5 Coronas
$6 Pre-Mix Cans
$4 Base Spirits w/mix (Scotch, Bourbon, Vodka, Rum)
$3 Schooners of Tap Spirits (vodka/raspberry, bourbon/coke, scotch/coke)
$2 Soft Drink Cans
$1.50 Soft Drink Pints
We've got a '100 Club' (VIP Social Membership) with about 40 guys. Pay $100 at the start of the year, free schooner of tap beer/pint of soft drink each day for the season, stubbie holder, random happy hours for '100 Club' members and a free '100 Club' raffle every home game.

I think thats fair & reasonable prices that all clubs should adopt.
There are alot of clubs that are over the top with prices such as $5.00 to $5.50 a stubbie or can which is rediculous, i know clubs have to survive but thats going to kill your club in the long run.
I've also seen the players at alot of clubs expect everything for nothing & always wanting $2 schooners all night which is very tough for clubs to do consistantly, alot of players today don't understand the needs of running a club.

The lads know it's cheaper than any pub or club, throw in a happy hour or two and they're laughing, then a sponsor slaps on a tab for the fellas and it's GOOOOOOOOODNIGHT!!!

Usual beer prices for us, but we have a happy hour after Presentations for all the club to buy cheap pints. Seems to be a winner.

thats fair NM, I would love $2 schooners all night like you said but it isnt gonna make anything for the club!
I think the key to keeping people happy is happy hours once a night, make everything cheaper and keep everyone happy!!

$3.30 for all stubbies and cans
$5-$6 for premix spirts
unfortunatly our bar man never puts on a happy hour, any drink specials EVER and has been known to lack genuine common sense, such as the ladies night last year, only had 2 bottles of champas!
