I've noticed a lot of songs are derivates of other well known ones, such as

"Cheer boys, Cheer boys, here we are at (inset team name)......"

or

"Its a grand old flag, its a high flying flag...."

At Raggies it used to be...

Cheer boys, cheer boys, here we are the Raggies...

Very popular by the looks of things.

We changed it last year to....

Oh we're from Raggiesland
A fighting fury, we're from Raggiesland....
In any weather etc...

Interestingly when I left Elizabeth to play for Loxton, they were in the first year of using Tigerland as their theme.
Someone at the club told me they'd changed it cos it sounded 'poofy'.

Also worth noting that it was a certain 'Plugger' Perrett, when Elizabeth's B grade was coached by current North Haven coach Shane Stokes, who changed the line in the song to include the word "pissheads" in around 1995 or 1996. They decided that "fellows" didnt't quite sound right in the song.

My current club Moorook-Kingston has the Norwood theme song, due to the fact that former Redleg champ Harley Swanbury was a former player and coach of the club and he changed the song.

And hopefully the only one.

Stokesy taught many of us the dick flick - I think I may even have used it on Preso when he was playing for Smithfield.

Noarlunga footy club has a very original and one of a kind club song, it's a cracker!

Heeeeeeerrrreeeeeee weeeeeeeeeee GO!
Never fear, to the premiership this year
We are the boys from the mighty shoe.

The bigger they are, the harder they fall
They havent got a chance when we play our football.
We are great you can tell, victorious at the bell
We are the boys from the mighty shoes!

Up the shoes!!!

It is sung to the tune of " Road to Gundagai " by Slim Dusty

The now defunct University of Canberra Wombats club song went something like this...

We don't play for adoration
We don't play for victory
We just play for recreation
.... (forget the next bit then...)

Weeee gave you a f***ing hiding
We gave you a f***ing hiding
We gave you a f***ing hidiiiiing
You! Dirty pack of sl*ts (you sl*ts!)
You Dirty pack of sl*ts (you sl*ts!)
You Dirty pack of sl*ts (you sl*ts!)
We gave you a f***ing hiding
We gave you a f***ing hiding
We gave you a f***ing hiding
You! Dirty pack of sl*ts (you sl*ts!)

Copped a fine everytime we sung that after a game.

Just as well a Wombats win was as rare as a Woodville premiership.
