Our trainer really doesnt have a clue!!
Felt like i jarred it last game came off for a few mins, still felt ok to run on.
all week iv felt sharp pain inside knee when kneeling down.
Got through training no problems tonight
Walkin up my stairs at home, i put all my weight on it and it felt as it went weak a little pain and nearly gave way
Pain feels as its inside knee, like right in the centre.

If anyone has had this and knows what the problem is and how to handle it let me know, id be very much appreciative :)

could very well be.

Is the pain towards the back of the knee near the PCL Duncs? If so I had a similar injury 3 years ago copped a knock in a tackle and struggled to get to my feet did this 3 or 4 times then finally came off and iced it. Trained with discomfort on the tuesday afterwards and didn't play the rest of the season after that (about 7 weeks in total) Didn't go and have it checked either. But had the same problems as you are, looked like a twat walking up stairs and couldn't bend it fully either without being in tears.

Yep I had all that 3 gp's told me it was cartlidge 2 different orthopedic surgeons said its just arthritis .
Very awkward when u have to work 8 hrs a day 5 days a week on your feet .
So please get it seen to by a doc.

I don't need to anymore it got better by itself and just to put my concerns to rest I tore the meniscus cartilage the next season on the same knee that one had me more worried as I thought I did an ACL went and had it checked by the Physio/Surgeon and the MRI came up ok without the need for a knife.

but to be sure I would as we don't have medical degrees

Could be PCL damage duncs- I did something similar years ago laying a tackle (managed to tear ligaments in my ankle at the same time- so I couldnt jog off).

Do get it checked out and treated, because afterwards I got back to playing, no pain etc, but I then had the turning circle of a Mack truck! Alright as a KPP (which I turned into LOL) but not if you are a running type!

Could also be your ACL. I turned to the right one game in the first quarter, heard a crack but continued on and kicked the ball forward. It felt a bit sore so I went off and got the fix everything tape around it and played the remaining three quarters.

Went to the specialist a week or so later, took about two seconds to diagnose clean snap of the ACL (crack I heard was it going)

I had no pain, at all!!

They say if you feel unstable walking down slopes or turning you could be in ACL trouble!!

Hope it's stuff all though....

Or even 'kneemonia' perhaps..............................................................I know, an oldie but a goodie!
What you kneed to be careful of though in all seriousness is it doesn't turn into 'dicktheria' 'cause then you're in big trouble, there is no cure at all for that!.

i had a tear in the lateral meniscis (or something like that), bascially i got pushed in the back playing and it gave way, i trained all week but during that time it felt weak and i would be at the shops walking around it would go all weak and give way, a quick clean out at sportsmed did the trick for me. I got straight into rehab and probably went a bit to hard as my doctors said it was a four week recovery i was back playing in two. The doctor will tell you after your opp that he will see you in a year as normally you need a clean out every 1 to 2 years, im having a little trouble now but nothing to sore yet.

How is it at the moment mate. I have had about 5 re-cons and other ops like clean outs and releases and so on. I'm pretty sure its about 11 or 12 in total. All you can really do is make sure your rehab is done down to the last exercise and stretch. I have found that this is paramount to stop further problems. If your not happy with a diagnosis make sure you see another docotor more so a surgeon

I would suggest you see a doctor .I  did my normal SW fly fishing at west lakes last Saturday morning  .After 1 1/2 or 2 hours walking and wading between two beaches .I left the water and felt pain in the back of my left knee .
I have not slept for a full night since Friday.Work has caused me great pain including feeling the swelling on my knee act as cushion while I'm on my knees(that sounds wrong) fixing a work machine .also walking and having a large cracking noise knee cap moving right crack knee cap moving left .Not to mention sitting down is like hell.
So after 3 days at work (monday I did Over time not sure how) I bit the bullet and went to see my local GP.
So that little fishing trip may have set me back 18 months the last time I saw an orthopaedic surgeon .
Fingers crossed it will settle down by monday.

So go see a doctor .
