What are some of the different fundraisers you club does? not just during the season, but in the off season aswell?

Does your club hold regular functions every year or do they mix it up a bit?

And what else do they do apart from functions?

Held a mexican night midway through the year at GG. Big bar takings and was great fun. Costumes were excellent,

The obvious ones we do are quiz nights and the respective gents and ladies evenings. Hold a calcutta to fund raise for footy trip and the earnings from our footy tips go to hosting an AFL grandfinal day luncehon.

Off season we havnt had much will hopefully do another theme night to launch pre season for an xmas party.

a few years ago i played in the country and we had a yabbie race fundraiser. a few blokes went out and caught about 20 yabbies brought them back and numbered them all. we then auctioned off each of the yabbies, some brought in up to $100 each if i remember correctly, we then had heats and a final etc and the whoever bought the eventual winner got half the pot and the other half went to the club. very very funny night and because it was strung out a while most of the blokes (and their missuses) had a few too many so the club made a very decent profit and we all had a pearler of a night.
