Former South full forward Rod Tregenza plays for South Mandurah in the above competition.

He is sitting on a lazy 217 goals for the season with one round to go before the finals. I assume his side has made the finals

That's a ridiculous amount of goals at any level.
What's the standard like?

I haven't watched any games in that league but I don't think it's particularly strong. There are a handfull of payers who have gone on to play WAFL with Peel Thunder though.

Not sure of Trigger's biggest haul but he did kick 22 last week !!!

217 from 17 matches, with the South Mandurah Falcons a lazy 17-0, with Mundijong Centrals two games back and Waroona a further four games behind.

At least four twenties from memory, including 43 in the last two weekends against the bottom two sides (21 v Mandurah and 22 v Harvey). Had 99 after 8 matches.

Previous highest was 197 in 2006 and 168 was his previous highest before that - don't know his 2007 tally (was 112 with one H&A round to go).

Received a bit of stick here for playing below his level, though it is unjustified to a degree. He lives in Mandurah and played with Peel Thunder and East Fremantle, as well as South Adelaide and a rookie at North Melbourne. Lives and works in the area and grew sick of the travelling involved at WAFL level (80-175km round trips).

Before last week, he was 131 goals ahead of Daniel Wilson of Mundijong Centrals (64) in the Goalkicking award - he might just get over the line in that one!

They haven't been that inaccurate (roughly averaging 14 behinds a game), so I would have thought he'd be getting no more than 6-8 of those? Then again, I am a goal umpire in the WAAFL and not the PFL so I haven't seen him and the Falcons first hand.

Rod Tregenza kicked 10 in the Grand Final for a season's tally of 238.

By the way, South Mandurah beat Mundijong Centrals by a lazy 23 goals in a surprising result (margin-wise).

Is Sean Wrigley still the South Mandurah coach? If so he is building a very impressive record down there having a guy kick 234 goalsdoes help though doesn't it!

The team they beat in the GF had David Morgan (former Sth Adelaide/Swan Districts/East Fremantle player) his brother Jason Morgan (Swan Districts/East Fremantle) and Brent Jones (East Fremantle/Perth) playing in it I was told. All very good players, so a sign of the strength of the league!
