I would have to say john bird from portland.

heard he was out at port when knightsy was coaching and had disagreements while on the piss. thats the only reason why he left and has not looked back.
dominating out at portland the last few years should of won association votes if it wasnt for his constant headbutts and arguing with umpires.
he may be hot headed at times but he really is a marvelous player, anyone that has seen him play would have to agree. this week portland are playing pooraka in div 4 if anyone is interested in viewing this young talent play. i watch him rather then afl because of his biffs n bumps and general hardness around the ball, it is second to none around the world.
been around

You guy's are kidding yourselfs if you think that Birdy has the ability
to play league footy.

Give him credit he has the hardness but his skill level is not even
close to that level.

Na, he has played all of his football in Whyalla besides
a stint at Kimba.

He is a great footballer, has won a whyalla news medal
and is probably the most skillful player in Whyalla.

I've never heard of Pat Jenner before but theres another Jenner whos played for Cleve (not sure if his name was Paul??), someone told me he was the best player he'd ever seen not to play SANFL or above (ie AFL). I think hes the Uncle of current Port Maggies player Kyle Jenner.

I remember watching Noel Hartman in the RMFL 10/15 years ago, this guy had unbelievable skills, won a Mail Medal at age 18/19 i think.

Paul Jenner is both Kyle and Pat Jenner's uncle, and Pat and Kyle are cousins.
Paul has also won a Mail medal (or two??) and yeah, pretty handy himself, if not better than Kyle and Pat.

Think that David Murphy could have possibly made it at Sturt. Is small but given the success of Tim Weatherald, I think he certainly would have gone alright and has won two mail medals in Central Division of Hills Football. For MT Barker people, I'm certainly not trying to claim him because he's one of yours, I'm just mentioning him because of his current status as playing coach at Macclesfield.
A guy called Damian Mackie had a lot of ability as well and Jason Bell would have certainly made it at at least SANFL level if it wasn't for his many off field issues.

Just seen these guys recently from other clubs

1 Bartell (goodie saints)

2 Mick Gower (seaton ramblers)

3 T Giles (rostrevor)

Someone mentioned gavin Lauder, his footy talent was very good but a little small huge heart, was a very very good keeper as well, best ive seen out of district and shield

Gavin Lauder is still a champion player, Steve Buck is also one of the best players Kilburn has produced. Even in middle age he is one of the fittest men I have ever seen.

I hear stories about D Ryan and the hair flowing behind him in the wind as he ran down the wing. Nothing has changed as he still has hair flowing behind him, just none on top.

All three were far better than Rusty. What a pity I wasn't around back in the day, I could have made him at least look better.
