FOURTEEN people involved in a chaotic football brawl caught on video have reportedly been banned from playing for 35 years collectively.

The AFL in the Northern Territory has handed down the suspensions following a brawl in Alice Springs that broke out after the Grand Final earlier this year.

Fifteen players and supporters were charged after the melee, but one supporter was found not guilty.

The charges were laid under the Code of Conduct, governing on-field behaviour.

The two teams playing in the Grand Final, the Pioneers and West, have been informed of the penalties and have until 5pm tonight to appeal.

The details of the punishments will also be made public at that time.

Along with Geoff Miller jnr. Somone else has been banned from Traeger pk for 7 years for breaking the code of conduct. He is also suspended from playing for 18 months.....

The funniest thing is that I have seen worse brawls at the SFL gf in the past,none like that including players but it included supporters that stopped the grand final........Do not think too many got charged either legally or through the league.Mind you the year after the Grand final was played at South Adelaide F.C

That is where all sport except netball is played in alice if it includes the entire facility. absolute shame that this has happened and ruins all the work being done to get a half decent competitive league functionining on a week-by-week basis.

League and Union don't play there, neither does soccer and Hockey has a different entrence. I'll think you'll find it only applies to CAFL games
