APPS

Adelaide Footy League, Southern, Country Footy, VFL, WAFL, NTFL, etc.

It reads that in 2010 it was 1 point, but with the addoption of the Apendix 4 version it means all are 3 points and 2 points etc

Points will carry over!

NG I think that is a bit rough saying u have to cop it sweet. What would happen if your club applies for a permit to have over 15 points and you go on and win the flag. I know I would be very dirty if I was the other team

http://saafl.asn.au/post/league_news/1s ... sletter-40

The clubs formally approved the adoption of the APPS system according to Appendix 4. Transfers within SAAFL during 2010 attracted 1 point. With the adoption of the APPS according to Appendix 4, transfers within SAAFL will attract 3 points (div 1 – 3) and 2 points (other grades). Would clubs please return the information as per memo on 12/10/10.

reads pretty clear to me..during 2010 they are worth 1 point..for 2011 its 3 and 2..

I read it that 2010 transfers were 1 point, in the future that will 3 and 2

not sure how it's gonna work in our situation considering we'll be playing in the C's... I can't see us pushing the 15 point limit, as I've said before we aren't recruiting A grade players from anywhere this year...

If there were two alternatives on any given situation would you plan with the worst case scenario in mind or just do what you want, hoping it works out in your favour? EVERY club is in the same boat...

So FE, who are the other clubs that have recruited with the 1pt transfers in mind?!?
I am not talking to you for 3 minutes because you punched me in the head and it hurt and that was not okay for you to do

Mr Hart, what a mess! Hopefully the following allieviates any confusion:

any player recruited into your club, for the 2011 season, from another SAAFL club will be allocated three (3) points for Div 1-3 players and two (2) points for Div 4-7 players. Any player recruited from North Pines, Ovingham or Wingfield Royals will be allocated two (2) points as this player has played “A” grade at that club.

As indicated earlier ALL EXISTING players registered at your club who currently have a “Player Point Rating” of one (1) or above will automatically drop one (1) point for the 2011 season. (ie. John Smith transferred from SAAFL club A to SAAFL club B in March 2010 and was allocated one point. If John Smith continues to play with SAAFL Club B during 2011 he will automatically drop to zero points)

Once again Policy isn’t always easy to read and takes time especially with amendments for all things to be made clear.
At least 4th Estate can stop stamping his feet like a naughty 2 year old who lost his dummy now

ps Zed where is your elegance? you don’t have a club listed? pure curiosity.....

7-Dog wrote:Onsong mentioned above about playing 25 games for your club then going back after a stint in the SANFL. What about kids moving to Adelaide for school, playing Amateurs & now heading home. But they haven't played 25 games of senior footy?

The rule protects the junior club.
Take say, Peter Burgoyne, he would be zero points at Mallee Park.
Mark Ricciuto was zero points to Waikerie.

7-Dog wrote:What about workers who are in a job that require constant moving (Police etc.)

Leagues have the power to bring in a bylaw to apply for a points exemption on such cases. It's not in the APPS core rules because it is an area that can be abused by some powerful clubs.

7-Dog wrote:What about a father/son, family rule?

Again, another bylaw issue that could be introduced to leagues if they want to.

One may suggest FS that you get your own house & President in order before you bag others.
2017, 2019 & 2020 PREMIERS
RICHMOND, RICHMOND, RICHMOND.

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

Damn thats the one i was after Zed

Few guernseys in the cupboard for you 8)

To many people get worked up over things IMO and while things can always be handled better, not everyone is going to be happy with decisions made. Doesnt matter if its in the workforce or in this case amatuer footy. Some make more noise than others and some just get on with the job.
