Seeing as i have never played in a GF, would I be fair to say it hurts more to lose the prelim than lose at the big dance??

There is a difference LK - if it happens, you will see

I still beat myself up that I could see what was happening but didn't insist on a move that a much younger Coach didn't want to do.

A mate and I were discussing it on Friday night - the year of the GF? - 1992!! and we are still stewing about it

Haven't lost a GF but in the SAAFL I'd agree with LK. Losing a prelim means missing out on promotion and meaning you have to play in the same division for another whole year to get where you want to go. Basically you are starting from scratch again.

Gee, you're starting to amaze me Shrek. I hadn't thought about that.

All jokes aside, both our sides should have at least gone up last year. It will be much harder this year because the other sides know what they have to beat (ie) how to beat us

I don't know about you guys but we didn't deserve to go up. We were probably the best team halfway through the year not at the end. We weren't as dedicated as a whole unit as FP and EP. They both deserved it.

Not easy late in the season if you dont have a strong B and C grade; which you didn't.

We had 80% new side, so hopefully this year we will team together better - oh.........and not be quite as soft ;) ;)
