St.Bedes/Mentone 4.4 10.7 17.11 21.12.138
AJAX 8.2 14.5 18.10 21.11.137

This was played in front of 5000 people at the Sandringham VFL ground and already is
being regarded as possibly the best grand final played in the amateurs for a long while.
Controversial ending too with AJAX having the possession on their 1/2 forward line
with the siren sounding but the umpire in control not hearing it.
AJAX players slumped to the ground not realising that the umpire hadn't heard the siren.
The second umpire had to come in to end the game.

This happened in the Grand Final of the Under 19s Red division of the VAFA.
Fitzroy Reds led Bulleen-Templestowe 18.6 to 7.6 @ 3/4 time.
B-T kicked 10.8 to a point to pinch the win but this wasn't the end of it.
The goal umpires and time keepers all had different scores so VAFA officials
had a look at the tape of the game last Monday to determine the winner.
Bulleen-Templestowe were awarded the game via email!

True. Loewe did his hammy in the first 5 mins going for a mark.
Not surprising, it was wet and about 12 degrees.
Interesting to see two former Saints win flags with Ausstin Jones captain/coaching Narre Warren.
Nine years late, so thanks for nothing!
