We (Penfield) had a good win to claim the B3 flag. Having sent Kilburn in we rolled them for 105, and got the runs only 3 down. Got ome about lunch time today, some of the boys kicked on with a pub crawl today.

I'm 0 from 4. Have been known as jinxy recently.

Losing a semi-final last weekend was probably preferable to losing the GF as the lower placed team in a wash-out. (was i our circumstances anyway)

Adelaide Uni matt? If so you guys did very well to knock off Pultney 2 weeks in a row to get there. Pultney are a very very good side.

Christ, how good have I been in picking good team mates, fortunately I'm 7 GFs for 7 flags.... :D :D

Best one was the first one beat a team in U/16s that went on to produce 1 shield player one 12th man and one 13th man for the shield team in the early 90s....

Uni, yes. We played them four times over the season for a 2-2 record, yet didn;t play Pt Districts once. Nice scheduling.
They rely on a few players but good players they are.

My oath they have some good players. They had some guys who only played now and again but there was a core group that managed to perform pretty much every game. Makes it tough. You guys did really well to have a 2-2 record against them. Thought Mercedes had the best bowling attack i came across. Thoughts? The guy (Freeman i think) from CBCOC was pretty brisk though.

I only played Mercedes once and they had the same problem in terms of a few good players and a few fillers (in that game anyway). Freeman ran through our top order once skidding them through. Fair bowler for that grade.
Who do you play for?

PAOC. We struggled this year as you would know. We've had a core group of 7 or 8 players for a few years but only a couple kept playing this season. I only played about half the games. It was pretty tough going to LOA (which is a pretty good standard as you would know) and having to pick kids straight out of school. No stability in the side and simply not the ability either. Well back to LOB for us next year. Shame is we will probably get a good group of players back and it would be interesting with those guys how we would've gone in LOA. Well i guess we just have to win LOB next year and find out the year after

Yeah, fair enough.
I didn;t play the first game against you guys when we just got up but we pumped you second time around as you put out a weak side.
It's good fun though the LOAs. Great getting a hit every week, not training and more often than not playing a reasonable standard.

Yep, you did give us a fair touch up the second time around. We were missing a few guys that day. Our captain was called up to the A's (he made 90 odd in pretty quick fashion in the first game). Ended up playing with only 10 guys as well. Most of them were not very good. Pretty solid side you guys had. Quite consistent and there weren't really any weak links. It was quite amusing when our stand in skipper had just 3 guys on the off side towards the end and they were at deep third man, deep cover and deep long on. Being at deep cover i was dreading a ball being hit softly into the off side  Thankfully you guys persisted with cow corner

Scruby was the difference in the first game. He sure likes hitting the ball over the leg side doesn't he.
