Hey everyone,
I played PDCA cricket for Rose & Crown back in the day.
I played from 1995/96 - 1997/98 as a junior and 2001/02 in the seniors.
Since 2004/05, I've been playing in the Adelaide Turf association for Ingle Farm. I'd be interested to see if any old or current 'Rosies' are around on here.
Cheers!

hey Carey18,
The name Phil Watson rings a bell...but I can't place a name to the face.
I presume by 'Vinnie', you're talking about Vinnie Librandi? If so, he was a huge help to my bowling when I was a junior.
Cheers,
G&WF

you should know the rain dance by now,
Set up 2 sets of stumps men dressed in white around shouting "hows that?"
and its sure to rain.

Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy - i really can't believe you're a Sturt man.
I too played PDCA in the mornings, then SACA in the arvos for 'Lizbef. Around that time also.
Remember Danny Hanley? "foot to the landing ball!"
And Green & White Fever do you remember Shane Pickering from your days with Rose & Crown? Good mate of mine.
I last played in the PDCA in the 1997/98 season, mostly B grade for 'Northern Districts', spliced with some A grade games. Then I moved up here - where anyone can get an A grade game.

ahh, yes, danney hanley, 'balls on the off should be driven to the off, not pulled to the on"
remember danny shiels too?? big fella, we called him baby gill after gil penna...
i played the first season of u12 in 92/93, i think they brought in the retire at 30 rule as i had 200 runs in the first 3 hits (HS 97)

loved the u12's

Ol' Danny - a master at the cricket cliche.
He tried to pull me into line many a time.
I reckon 92-93 was my last season of juniors for Elizabeth. Played in a good side that year - but didn't quite make the finals.
Craig Haines was in my side - I'm not sure if you'd know that name.
And yes, I remember Danny Shiell. Nice bloke. Still see him around every now and again (actually delivered me some furniture recently). Involved with Freeling now I think. He has a serious lack of teeth.
