"Update on ATCA Fixtures

The ATCA is been made aware of ATCA fixtures that are able to be viewed via the umpires page on the ATCA website. All we have done at the moment is enter the teams to grades and attached the grounds to the teams and MyCricket in turn creates a fixture.

The ATCA does not use MyCricket templates to create the fixtures it use an completely different program to generate the fixtures which in turn is then uploaded onto the website

Please note the ATCA fixtures will be available early to mid-September and club secretaries will be the first to be notified."

T/20 Fixtures for season 2012-13 now available on the website

Please note T/20 fixtures are now available on the ATCA website. Some important points that club secretaries and captains should note as follows.

1) Clubs that have double headers in Round 1 (6th Oct) will start game 1 at 11.30am with game 2 starting at 2.30pm.
2) Clubs that only have a single game in Round 1 will start the game at 1.00pm.
3) Rounds 2 and 3 will be played on Tuesday nights as normal with the game starting at 5.20pm.

Majority of the clubs that entered 2 teams have received the advantage of hosting a double header in Round 1.

Very good thanks Bluedemon, he definitely knows his stuff and is already bringing the best out of the squad. With quite a few additions to our club for this season , we are definitely building towards our goal as a club to get back up the grades

Also happy with the fixture. Great improvement in the 20-20 draw, we are glad there is a division system and also very happy with having a double header to kick us off. Well done ATCA.

So would it be right in saying all grades are now playing 9 two-day rounds rather than the previous 10 and a one-dayer to suit the inclusion of the 20/20 comp?

As one of the less fortunate (ie poop) cricketers out there I'm peeved I'll be playing less cricket due to a glorified baseball comp.

No.

Comp was reduced to 9 2-day rounds to fit in with the restructure to 10-team divisions.
Extra T20 has been added to try and allow players the opportunity to play more cricket.

Yeah 21 weeks last season (10 two day games + 1 one day game, 12 teams per division) compared to 18 this season (9 two day games, 10 teams per division) but with some extra Saturdays for 20-20's.

But I suppose you only have to look at the increase in LO divisions over the last 10 years to see that the demand for the shorter form of the game is increasing. Look how many 20-20 divisions, 14 this season...

Pooraka Held The Jets in a Practice T20 game yesterday.

Jets passed the total in 18 overs and then batted on, was a good hit out and some good fun.

Looking forward to the season starting!!!

Why the need to go to 10 team divisions?

I think it is a way to get all the A grade teams into the A grade divisions. As well as the addition of the A4 grade.
