The Umpires co-ordinator needs Umpires for the upcoming 2011-2012 season
There are a few vacancies currently available
Payments are about
2 day games
$65 per day
From 1-00 to about 5-15
1 day games
$80
From 12-30 to about 6-00
Anyone wishing to discuss further can Private Message me
I can supply details on how to contact the Umpires Co-ordinator
That works out at around $7.15 per hour to get abused by lunatics that think every time the ball hits the pads it's out, good luck!

I'm sure the SACA run umpire courses much like the coaches course.

How many overs in a day in the churches mate?
70 overs for a 2 dayer and 80 overs for a one dayer

65 for 2-dayers (unless everyone bowls off short runs all day and you get a few more overs in)

What hours are the two-dayers, in the pdca, we bowl 70 and then call stumps, generally 1 til 5:15 or thereabouts.

1 til 5:15 officially with 15 minutes for tea so 4 hours of play to bowl 65 overs (which often doesn't happen, especially as teams often stuff around too long at drinks breaks).
You guys would be doing well to get 70 overs bowled in 4 hours, or maybe there just aren't any fast bowlers in PDCA?
