Irrespective of whether is is fair to say that Southport's talent-laden B Grade team with Pollard, Gray, Merrett etc can really be said to have won through to the GF 'against the odds' or 'against the tide', this video is an absolutely sensational effort:

Well well well. speaking to the reporting umpire today and apparently said south port player was reported for unnecessary contact and to quote said umpire 'chesting' was involved.
5 weeks seem to be the only resonable punishment with the precedence set earlier in the year

If it an allegation of chesting- well, the precedent has well and truly been set on that issue this year.
Will the PPCA Tribunal obstruct Southport's dream of premiership glory?

What was the precedent set for how long it would take to hear a case of chesting?

I am so relieved that the PPCA were able to isolate the only one at the ground that was bringing cricket into disrepute. I Now feel safer and will sleep well tonight. Yes, I am being sarcastic.

One good thing for the cats this year being knocked out early, made sure we werent in cause any controversey! You think the strong message that PPCA sent when they suspended cornflower, would stop this violence on the field. So hot head Andy Fuchs didnt get any games for his sooky tantrum on the field? Some people will always be above the law. Heard a recorder journalist got hit by a bus!

are the umpires doing enough to keep games in check, do they have enough power to do so? There is alot of lead up stuff happening before these incidents. This of course does not excuse physical violence.

you wouldn't expect someone to comment on the behaviour of their own supporters, or antagonist tactics of own players. As I said though doesn't excuse physical contact
