Everyone plays each other once, then remaining matches are similar to the SFL, higher ranked sides play each other again, same with mid and lower ranked sides. And as always, just luck of the draw who you play in one and two day format games.

goolwa putting points on the board early. noarlunga solid in the batting department regularly pushing up around the 300 mark. bays solid but with their 3 best bowlers not bowling they lack firepower.

no one cares who finishes in the top 6. only matters what happens in march. bays know how to win when it matters. noarlunga probably the favourites in my opinion with their batting strength. goolwa a smokey but will need to stop relying on too few with bat and ball.

andy will probably win COY but when you bowl 25 overs every week and bat at 3 or 4 so you should. would like to see scarff or maybe baldy win it. will both be around the 700 run mark which for a top order bats is an exceptional year.

Not much news about Myer Shield this year, surely there's a strong squad with noarlunga entering the association. Any news on the team?

i think the side has been picked. Sam hoffman to captain im told. not sure about other inclusions

Matt Overall has had a pretty decent year. just shy 600 runs. add a meyer shield ton and a ton playing in the country living homes T20 comp. would be around 1000 runs for the summer. (not sure if they count meyer shield etc towards voting) either way. very impressive campaign so far.

is still playing golf. whacks them around off +4 if you don't mind. fits in a game of cricket when golfing commitments don't clash. probably the best batsman i've seen playing at this level. and a ripper dude to go with it.

Finals time again and some new teams in the mix! Goolwa almost stumbled at the final hurdle but finish the season on top undefeated... the pies have been mighty hot all year but can they turn the heat right up at the business end of the season! Earning the week off means that it's do or die when they play and with that monkey of not winning an A Grade final in many a year may still be around to haunt them... only time will tell!

The E/Bay juggernaugt once again flexed their muscles with an emphatic outright victory against what was a finals contender. For me, they are the team to beat in this years finals series! I just hope the cult figure known as "Jüun" can reclaim his spot on the back of a masterful century!

Impressive win by McLaren on Saturday and they cement their spot again as a real contender this year!

Noarlunga the big talk before the season find themselves in 4th but have a quality line up and should get through this week unscathed.

Full credit to both Rapid Bay and Pt Elliot on making the finals but I feel the teams above are a class above and should get the job done this week. But cricket is a funny game and anything can happen in a final...

Finally a bit of excitement around the competition after a rather dull second half of the season. Well done to all teams that made it through to the finals. Bit upsetting for the township of compass, being knocked out by an outright loss and big win to rapid bay. Their batting was always going to be a issue if they made it to march, with little support for young Matthew East who had a great season!

Encounter Bay are the favourites in my opinion, having even talent with bat and ball. great year by M overall. 600 runs and batsman of tournament for myer shield would be close to cricketer of the year. But loosing a few for finals could open it up for a few other teams, Sam overall following football? Moules in Darwin, butler to miss grand final for wedding? Anyone have any news on these?

Congrats to Goolwa finishing top undefeated on the back of andy evens. Bowling line up very strong with Jones, Lawrence, Evens and H Robertson bowling sides out all year. Batting could be interesting come finals with just scrapping through in the last round being 5/2 before a match winning partnership between V Robertson and Evens got them home.

3 vs 6 McLaren vs Pt Elliot
The Bloods making their first finals appearance in a while. Pt Elliot had the minor round primers 5/2 and will need a strong bowling performance again to keep the districts batting line up at bay. Donaldson will have to be on top of his game, with wickets early on. Curtis and Altus should get the districts off to a good start, Chambers could take the game away in 10 overs so the bloods will have to take there chance when they come. Clarke and Whitbourne will be the key partnership, if they can hang around Pt Elliot will have a chance against the ever green ifould, Nairn, and work horse Wilson.
Mclaren should prove to strong and meet encounter bay in the prelim

4 vs 5 Noarlunga vs Rapid Bay
What a finish to the season with rapid bay jumping into 5th spot with an outright win and a finals berth. All the talk at the start of the season was around Noarlunga and with that came high expectations. After slipping to 4th win in the last game they have a bit to prove and that starts this weekend. The shoes batting has been the strong point for them and expect Baldey, Scarff and 'bubbles' Garrard to set a big score against rapids bowling attack which lacks a but of fire power, will be up to the skipper V wright to try and old back the shoes. Willis and Bennett will have to get rapid bay off to a good start if they have a chance against the shoes, with Farrelly in good form.
Noarlunga should get through to the prelim against goolwa

Very good total against an under strength attack after Elliot lost Donaldson but the biggest test of the year for Vale this week against the flag favourites E/Bay! Should be an absolute cracker with both sides boasting a lot of talent!

Very interesting game installed for the Prelim @ Pt Elliot, both sides come in with big expectations. Goolwa as undefeated minor round premiers would have big expectations to play in the GF this year but they have been labelled the definition of a one man band in the past. Can the likes of Jones, V Robertson, Lawrence, who are all very much household names along the Fleurieu, stand up and support their leader Evans!

Likewise Noarlunga, who were tipped by their publicist Shoe Boy at the start of the year, to dominate the competition will expect to win this match. Their batting depth is there strength and if they can refract the heat the Pies are sure to throw at them, they should be too experienced to let this slip by.
