It's a Foxtel/CA production, but don't let that stop you having a grizzle mate.

Just like Mick Lewis did last night, makes his first class comeback at 36 not a bad effort. He is still younger than me though.

Think that is is a crock to be honest. All grade clubs now have their country zones well and truly covered plus the grade clubs know their suburban or local clubs and the players even if they are not there to see them each week. The ones with talent would have been invited to a grade club already and would have said no because "they did not want to, or they wanted to play with their mates, or did not want to do the work required and a host of other reasons" All of these reasons are perfectly valid for each individual and if grade cricket is not for them and all the training plus playing the majority of Saturdays and Sundays etc. They have elected to play locally which is fine. Therefore it is highly unlikely they are going to find the needed devotion to training to be on a SACA rookie contract is it. Lets face it they will be playing grade cricket to start with anyway even if they are a superstar.

A nice feel good promotion by foxtel and Cricket Australia.....................but will not unearth any talent likely to play state cricket.
