edit - just had a look. Port all out for 39. Southerns all out for 28
Both clubs have lost players. Not great for the competition if there are only four decent teams and the other two are struggling.

A mass exodus from the Port, they had such a good structure for the last few seasons, could match it with anyone, was strong in developing players.
A clash of heads via the committee seems to be the root cause with a couple of key stakeholders deciding to quit and those that had faith in them aren't playing any more.
Yeah, Bettsy incidentally took a wicket on the first ball of the season against her former club, she has been Port through and through since I've known her, sad times.
Port and Southern will face some thumpings.......................if they remain in Grade 1, and if they have enough players interested by Christmas.

Port got bowled out for 9 in the women's B Grade. Ouch.
Heard they forfeited their U14 Whites too. Not sure about U16 Whites.
