Great Southern Cricket Association

OK lets start again with a brand new thread.

If there are any doubts about what is acceptable on these forums - click here http://safooty.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=254

It's fair to say that the last effort was unacceptable and if it happens again, GSCA topics will get locked once again.

Enjoy and good luck in the finals.

Ok boys and girls we have all had our bums smacked and sent to our rooms lets start talking about cricket again who won on weekend is the four as everyone thought it would be at start of year think table should be compass, vale, willunga and pongy in that order and pongy look to be very dangerous if sides take them lightly then look out, another thing i hear willunga have not paid there affiliation fees and this would mean that they should not be able to receive any points and that vale have an agreement with bob martin that there stat sheet do not have to be submitted till monday morn,if this is true then why have other clubs have had fines given and points taken from them thought rules were set for everyone if what i have heard is true then that sucks and willunga and vale should have points taken away from them and no i am not criping as we did not make the finals we were just not good enough only found this out on saturday night can anyone confirm this as if this is true i am sure Enc bay and Goolwa will be very unhappy as that would put them back in the four

Good to see the great southern cricket association has a forum back, quite a popular forum!
I know Mclaren did get fined and did pay the fine, however i have heard about the willunga situation but i doubt the Association will have guts to take points away from willunga!

To do with the ladder i dont think McLaren will be 2nd, won't willunga be 2nd?

i know that we have been fined twice this yr for late stats sheets. both were sent sunday arvo but bob apparently didnt get them till about 9pm, despite emailing them at about 3. but also on one occasion we couldnt get one in till monday morning but we let him know a week in advance so we didnt incur a fine. as for not paying the fee, it was decided at the start of the yr that clubs would have points taken off them, then it should be inforced, but as per usual its the toothless executive commitee that wont enforce their own rules. they did it with the A1 A2 relagation system and now they are doing it with the affiliation fees. if these rules are brought in they need to be enforced accross the entire comp.

what are your thoughts lads. we have escaped a fine or two because they wont enforce them properly but i think its wrong that they only do it when it suits

does anyone know where the compass vale game is this week?? should be a cracker if both clubs have a full unit to pick from

Just Spoke to the Great Bob Martin and this is the weekend fixture for A Grade-

Mt Compass v Willunga @ Pt Elliot

McLaren v Myponga @ Goolwa

Just appears some people are trying to cause an early ruckus on the new thread!

Good Luck to all this Weekend!
