See Ben Higgins and Ben Johnson have announced their retirements after last weekend's GF. Certainly great players (possibly the best grade players of their time) and both probably unlucky not to play more first class cricket.

Good to see Higgins get a Grade premiership. Just a pity it wasn't with the Eags a few seasons back. He deserved one then! Both were fantastic Grade cricketers and Johnson in particular made a mark at First Class level.

Steele from Kensington was a great grade player, as was David Ritossa (Sturt). Roy Stratfold (East Torrens) has to be the best bowler to have never played 1st class cricket, and Greg Quinn the best wicketkeeper.

Nick Roberts: the most underated bowler of the last 20 years.

Yes, I agree with that. He was a fantastic bowler. I think he suffered the same fate as Roy Stratfold before him, he would have been considered as not quick enough for 1st class cricket.

right you are Hawk.
However, he STILL is a fantastic bowler.
Good to see the AUCC well represented in the team of the year.
Go the Blacks!
