thats ok that he has played and just had a good day but what the main issue is he is a grade cricketer and has the capacity to do it not to many turf cricketers at that age could...... You seem to be from Gepps what was the story with the Brawl?

I am from Gepps but knew nothing of the brawl until I read about it here. All I can say is the Under 17's progressed to the final V Modbury so I guess Gepps were found to be blameless, assuming there was some sort of inquiry.
There is a bit of 'history' between Gepps and Para Hills, although that's more concerned with footy.
I have been involved previously with Para Hills cricket and found them to be very family oriented and well managed.
On a different topic, since the Gepps Under 13's left Para Districts last season to join North Eastern Juniors this season, I have found snobbery is alive and well. Despite having 50% of the team being just 9 or 10 years old, they finished minor premiers, and lost only one game.
Some opposition coaches have been pretty open in their hostility towards these 'upstarts'. How dare we take wickets and make runs!
Maybe they should realise that most of the kids have already had at least one season in the much tougher Para Districts comp, as 8 & 9 year olds, and are very, very experienced. The kids say that they feel they haven't done so well this season because last year they scored 6/267 in one match while their best this season was 'only' 5/210.
Our captain, aged 13, is in his 5th season with the Under 13's!
