I wasn't all that good but I was always there. I missed about two games in twenty years and played Indoor cricket all over Adelaide for 14 years. I believe you don't have to be a great, but only get the best out of yourself as you can..for you and your team mates.
Being a silly old fool I set up a competition of my own up here so I could play one or two games a year because I miss the game so much. I played my second match of the year last Sunday (the first was in March) and it has taken until today for my poor old knees to stop aching. In fact my knees are so bad they were hurting after about 12 overs. Every time I contemplate coming out of retirement the social games I play in slap me back into reality.
So tell me boys - how is YOUR comeback going? Ah, getting old is a terrible thing.
