Nairne have missed the Finals for the 1st time since the 2007/08 season
Langhorne Creek have snatched a Finals spot on the back of 5 consecutive wins, incredibly entering the Top 4 for for the very 1st time for the season !!!!
Hahndorf have held Top spot whilst Woodside who have crashed badly by losing 3 of their last 4 games have held onto 2nd ahead of Strath in 3rd who blew a Top 2 finish by losing their last 2 matches.
Hahndorf without Shaun Tait and an incapacitated Jarrad Tait who didnt bat or bowl were still too good for Nairne to sew up Top spot and put Nairnes Finals hopes at risk
Nairne 130 Def by Hahndorf 5/132
Nairne were then eliminated when L Creek were too good for Strath in a fluctuating game of fortunes.
Creeks after being 0/80 then collapsed to 5/89 before recovering to 188 on the back of a season saving 41 run 10th wicket partnership. Strath after a solid start were then contained to a score of 173 off their 45 overs and blew their opportunity of grabbing a vital Top 2 spot
Woodside went down to Lobethal in the other significant match of the Round scoring only 99 to which Lobey replied with 6/102 to rack up their 7th win in the last 8 rounds but still falling well short of Finals contention after their horror 1st half of the season.
Next weeks matches
1st Semi Final - Strath (3rd) v L Creek (4th) @ Strathalbyn
Its anyones guess what sort of team the Creeks will come up with for this game as their last 5 wins have come from teams sporting many "Fill In" type players that are ineligible for Finals as they havent qualified players Like Derham & Golding who both played integral roles with the ball in their win over Strath just gone but have only played 2 and 1 game(s) respectively
2nd Semi Final - Hahndorf (1st) v Woodside (2nd) @ Hahndorf
Hard to pick a winner here as Woodside arnt in winning form atm whilst Hahndorf will still be without Shaun Tait (i think?)
Winner of 1st Semi to play the Loser of the 2nd Semi on Sunday in the Preliminary Final
