not really, was after cricket though, McCarthy wanted to stop at maccas so i had a large mega mac meal and a large double cheeseburger meal

oh man carey, 5 times ive had to re-open this thread to read you saying he won the toss and bowled! Woolcock is a good mate of mine.. needless to say ive wasted little (none) time in serving it up to him and letting everyone else know about it!! LMAO!!

most of them are alright blokes so i wont hang sh!t on them but e i was happy batting..............

i told our boys see gully off and we should be ok at the end of the day gully gets 1 wicket and it was me i should've took my own advice lol

i dont want to sound big-headed or anything but i swear all the div 2 teams just see me off and dont take any risks against me which is why i enjoyed the challenge to bowl to Aaron today because he went after me even though he did smack me to all parts of the ground ..that bloke is a freak and has to be one of the best innings i have seen considering he didn't give a chance away until after he reached his century.

Thought we were heading for a Mathews/Malinga like 8th wicket partnership today, until someone got bowled aroud there legs and stopped the partnership on 45

yeah the ball before hitting me in the nuts did that i think!

what was with there capt having 2 slips nearly all day?? i turned to gully when he put an extra slip in and said does your capt know were 3 for 220 odd! he just laughed and agreed with me.

The field surprised me a few times today, 2 slips ALL day with a ball that looked like it had been bowled on a road, and letting me get easy singles our entire partnership even though I hadnt hit one off the square all day. They were a bunch of guys that didnt look like they had much fun at all today (except when we were 1/2)

its fair to say that ball was ****** considering you couldn't shine it anymore

hey everyone, all smiles up at Para Vista today, both sides off to a great start.

Para Vista A all out 245. Jon Smith 139 not out, Pidgy took 7/56 for the Lions.

Para Vista B all out 250. Ron Rathjen 64, Steve Vines 45, Hassan took 5/73 for Fitzies.

Very happy. But you won't catch me using them dumb smilies to describe the mood up here at Grand North.

Smithy is a legend and it was a pleasure to watch him bat all day... opened with me and was still there at the end. Not bad for a guy who according to the Fitzroy mid off fielder "doesnt have a proper drive or pull shot". im guessing he had his eyes closed half the day because he misfielded a few of Smithys drives and let them through for 4

Well bowled Pidge, even if you did get one lucky one early oh and i know im not a bowler, but a word of advice... if you see a number 10 and 11 come out who quite obviously havent played much cricket, get it on the stumps not bounce them and bowl outside off for them to miss it.

Still Pidge wasnt bowler of the day IMO... that would go to Auto. Even if he is going to get beaten up by one of the Rolling brothers for replacing them twice during the day!

oh and can someone remind me next week which little sh!t gave me a send off? i might have to get a little pay back

That was my first overs in Div 1....only took 15 years. Poor Tyso, not only was he dragged for me once, he was dragged for me twice....awesome sledging material.

That is a fair effort by johnny smith, but i think we are forgetting that Ron Braakhuis carried his bat only last week!
Although this was in Div 3 (typewriter) to only hit 55 in 40 overs is pretty damn hard too and should not be overlooked....

Our team was nowhere near as good as the team we had when we lost to Enfield's 3rd XI in the Div 4 Grand Final last year yet we still managed to easily defeat Enfield's 2nd XI team that appeared to be much weaker. Go figure

Smith is a quality cricketer in deed! he also made 120 odd in the GF against us a couple of seasons ago. no doubt the guy has talent!

clarke bowled like a machine and the spinner (sorry dont know the name) had 3 for 0
then 4 for 2 then after that well you know the rest....... maybe i might give the bowling away and learn to bat properly? also well done smithy from vista on making a ton also .

After seeing last seasons effort against Fitzroy of 157 i didn't think i would ever see another innings like it but after hitting 129 from 51 balls on Saturday, Smasha is the undisputed destroyer of bowling figures in this comp! I don't think they can make a ground big enough for him!
