Lachlan Sandercock is not a big head. He is a good lad & a young captain of a very young team. There are however plenty of bigheads around in all forms of cricket who cant make a run or take a wicket. Good luck to him on his start to the season but it is only 3 games into season!

Sorry, dont agree with your comments at all. He is a compulsive talker (not sledger) & does not have an over inflated opinion of himself & playing against someone once a season is not fairly often!

Whatsfordinner who do you play for. Hope it's a A2 club and haven't played Ingle Farm yet, would love to come out and have a look. Pm me ya name and club so I know who to look out for whilst watching.
You obviously don't know Sandercock outside of the cricket field. Think you have mistaken confident as being a big head.

All cricket cancelled

But whats the point of bylaws stating covers are allowed. Posting on your site which clubs can use covers and procees when play is abandoned for all else if you then over rule that bylaw and just cancel it all anyway.

Seems like its pointless having the bylaw

Very strange decision. We only had 2mm of rain in the Northern Suburbs yesterday and the sun came out for 4 hours straight after so would've dried out. I can understand city and southern suburbs being called off but it should've been left to individual clubs at this stage.

Probably wouldn't of got a full day's play anyway but that's beside the point.

Rain is a tough one to please everyone.. Our ground is Gawler copped it hard and although the pitch may be playable with a day worth of sun today, the surroundings were muddy and had sitting water still this morning..

If 90% of games were cancelled due to area of Adelaide they are from and 10% got away for some kind of play, then people will feel hard done by. At least this way its fair on all sides, even though its inconvenient on some..

Having said that, the chances of a full days play appears grim, so we are haggling over potentially 20-30 overs of cricket, which would mean the game would be 100-110 overs anyway, but over 2 weeks. Next week is a 100 over one dayer regardless?

We got cyclonic conditions down south at about 4 yesterday. Sideways big ol fat rain, lightening and wind. Got the game wicket covered just as the lightening started but couldn't cover the rest of the block,so it got soaked.
Good decision atca.

There is a bylaw that states any bylaw can be over ridden at any stage.
It's like government.

Blanket cancelling of cricket is so stupid. If a ground is fit to play on then play. That's the whole reason we're here.

If a World Cup game in NZ gets rained out but they play on the same day in Brisbane that's just the luck of the draw.

Absolute disgraceful decision not to play. Hasn't rained all day, clubs with covers should have played.
Heyser, got some questions to answer.
