Definately up to the captain but that type of incident if true tends to reflect poorly on the club as well as the captain, unless there was some valid reason. Again if true it would seem a foolish decision as you never know when you may need a sub yourself and it is only a game of b grade cricket after all.

Can't see what a valid reason would be unless the opposition did something to annoy the captain.

What game are you talking about bigstack?

Will try and check but if no one else has heard of it, it is possibly old news or a bit of stirring going on.

Third hand feed back only, game mentioned to me was the risdon/prop b grade game weekend before last i think.
No big deal but if it is true it's not really in the spirit of the game provided all was within the rules.

Not in the rules as they wanted this person to play...not be a sub fielder.

Any truth in the gossip that one club refused to allow the opposition the use of a sub fielder?

Third hand feed back only, game mentioned to me was the risdon/prop b grade game weekend before last i think.

In which case there is no truth in that gossip.

Third hand feed back only relates to the specific game, original source is closer to the action. Unable to contact that person.
Your version seems to differ to squids. Hope you are right and it is only gossip.

I could name your source but I won't.

Your source is incorrect and for all concerned it would be nice if you told that person to stop causing issues.

Thank you!

Before i head off for another day at the office i thank you squids for your gibberish response. It confirms what i already suspected. When people like you think they can set the rules on what can be raised or not raised it is time to pull the pin, similar to the old bloke a few months ago, his assessment of this site was correct. Thanks for the experience but it is difficult to handle the over inflated ego's of essentially b grade cricketers getting their thrills on a web site. Goodbye and good luck with your b grade cricket aspirations.

Sounds like the Ports Oval saga is put to bed for the next few years, good move, everyone seems happy (except for most of the Props/Solly people that play). Saves the friction we had this year and allows everyone to plan ahead.
What is the go with the Bats points? A few whispers about.
What is the premiership tables?

Bats losing all points in which an unregistered player played in, I only think its a handle of games though so it won't put them out of the 4.

Ladders I think would look something like this

Props
Wandies
Risdon
Southport
Sollies

B's
Risdon
Southport
Warnertown
Props
Germein
Wandies
Sollies
Strykers

Well that will drop them to 5th 6th on the table, might be a bit more than that actually, could be 20 points considering they have won by the bonus point a few times.

They are the rules, they probably could of gotten away with it if they didn't register the player as no one would of known unless their was a check.

It is not like this player has not changed clubs before so he would of known the process.
