Our batsmen need to step up and start turning their 20's and 30's into 50's and 70's and we can build winning totals.

Like a Volcano our form has been bubbling for a couple of weeks now and we will erupt next game...

Last game Old Scotch obviously thought they were not a chance defending their 146 while we were 3/62 overnight, i see that as a win mentally as they had the option to put their covers on (on the friday night 20th Nov for the second day's play) but decided against it according to their captain.

looking at our form the past few weeks that was a bad decision by them..
how do you just turn a 20 into a 70?? is it that we have been unlucky or do you think the boys have been throwing there wickets??

We have a new team this year, quite a young one at that. Believing in each other takes time and the lads have gelled quite well over the past month. Every one is starting to know each others game, and to build a champion team takes a while (as we know).
A negative is that we have not scored a batting individual 50 yet, a positive is that the batsmen are making starts so i see that as a mental side of their game not a skill error that they have been unable to go from their 20 to a say a 50 or 70.
We have also had our setbacks too, players unavailabilities do not help for whatever reason from week to week, the quicker we settle our side the better.
We have yet to put a full strength team with everyone being available on the park. (Injuries aside)

Think it will be very even, i can see McCarthy getting McLean in the first over... McCarthy is a very astute bowler and understands how batsmen think, he will have a plan and if it works his side will win...
