Sandy had the one day final so surely you are taking the piss.
Stocky is the best ground for the final, Nuri would be second.

Nuri, Kapunda and Eudunda all unavailable for GF's this year.
Only going by Mycricket, Sandy has the A1's, Tanunda the ressies and Stocky gets the A2's

Well done to the Tigers for finishing minor premiers.
Looks like the semis are Centrals v Kapunda and Gilbert Valley v Angaston.
Any idea of ground allocations yet?

Who scored the runs?

Fracka scored 1 :D ...........................then again thats one more than i did

No sure why Fracka seems such a target lol, but from someone who was gonna be one of the top 3 bats in this comp, seems longaway short of it...should be a cracker week of finals next week,,don't think central will find kapunda as easy as souths apparently were...they reckon the scoreboard attendants had to work in shifts cos so many runs flowing:)

Mmmm, Serle and Frackowski could prove handy inclusions, but Thomas is a B grade cricketer these days, his best well behind him. Attracted no attention at all this pre-season on the ATCA coaching merry-go-round. I simply can't see him as a forceful A grade bat in the BLG comp, unless the standard has dropped somewhat, so I don't see how that will guide them into a GF??

Agreed.

I find this. I didn't call Thomas a b grader just agreed that I didn't think it would help them get to a gf. But I could be proved wrong in the next couple of weeks.

Days of??????
Not sure I am getting the post.
I was declaring that 1. Stockwell was the best venue for the final, I remember taking an esky full of Becks there
A few years back and watching Matthew Doecke single handedly win the one day final.
Was very enjoyable place to watch cricket. Am thinking 2 days watching cricket there would be twice as good.
2. Surely Sandy Creek don't have a monopoly on the finals now, especially considering the best place to watch cricket
At the creek oval (under the verandah of the log hall thing) is off limits to people.
It ends up being like watching footy at South Gawler with 1 decent viewing point.
Anyway if someone can decipher Daysof's last post and dumb it down for me it would be greatly appreciated.
Also daysof I meant taking the piss in reference to being joking, not alcohol related, no issue with being able to take your own booze.

I dont disagree with you but with only 3 turf wickets available this is the way it is.
I guess if you cant comprehend my last post it would be too much for you to work out why the venues are as they are

Sandy can have the 2's final, glad we agree, consider it a deal then.

Cant see what all the fuss is about. Why should Stockwell have a monopoly on the GF, yes it is a great ground but I dont see a problem in sharing the GF around the turf venues.
As a neutral I attended the one day final and was very impressed with the setup at Sandy, i have no doubt they will be able to host it sucessfully. I know a few of the Kapunda boys were keen to host the GF if they didnt make it, unfortunately I believe its out of action due to irrigation issues.
Cant believe so many turf grounds are unavailable for GF's.

Sounds like it's the only option if picking the venues prior to semi results.

No need for it to be at stocky every year even if it is best venue.

Sorry. I must've given the impression that I give a raw toss who is in the 2s final,
Was really just thinking about myself and my esky.
Won't be heading to Sandy for the final, just an all round boring place and oval with limited viewing points.
Haha, If this doesn't get the hive buzzing nothing will.
Maybe sandy can steal the T20comp from Nuri next year and have all 3 finals.

Dont mind the GF shared around every year. Would be great if more clubs pulled their finger out and put in turf decks then it could be rotated so that all clubs get a crack at hosting it.

RR, think you have gone off half cocked a little there.....there are a number of clubs who would love to put turf decks in. Unfortuneatly, they need to deal with their councils and thats were the issue lies. One council in particular (I wont mention who it is but it wont be hard to guess) offers little or no assistance to its sporting clubs within the town and I would suspect that they would need to come to the party to assist with costs. No doubt however that if all (or the majority) of clubs had turf decks, then that would be ideal.

Yes Gawler council are reportedly difficult to deal with but surely you guys could could fund it. You seem to be a fairly professional run club with plenty of sponsors and members/players that could raise the money. Im not sure how other clubs have done it but was speaking to some lads from Sandy and they sound like they basically raised the money themselves and received a small grant, was told the council offered little assistance. It just seems like some clubs dont want to make the effort, it seems like you guys do though. Geez South havnt even bothered to widen their pitch which i believe was a requirement of entering the comp, how long have they been here for now?
Wish Gawler council would help out, dishlicker park would be an ideal turf ground

Probably a little bit unfair there RR, im sure that for some clubs it would just never be feasable to put in a turf deck.
I know at Sandy the decision to go turf wasnt taken lightly and it was only due to the hard work done by a few comittee members that saw the project completed. Many years of fundraising went into it so hats of to the people who made it possible. Gawler council are a nightmare so i just cant see it happening at one of the Gawler clubs and id think that Centrals would be the only club in Gawler inteterested anyway.
