End of the day, every and any club would've made the same move IMO. Kenty represents everything that is R&CCC.

Played almost the whole season in Grade 1 before injury and has spent countless seasons prior playing at the highest level for the good of the club, its only fair to give a club champion and legend the chance at a flag at the highest level in the comp... im sure BL would've accomodated Sibbs in the same fashion had he been in the same position..

I wont lie, i'm a captain who "played for the rain" last weekend!

As far as im concerned, myself and the rest of my side did the hard yards through the year to put ourselves in the position to not only have a home final but to have results go our way should weather play a part.

Stuff the other side, the BETTER TEAM FOR THE SEASON got through at the end of the day!

An amazing effort by the Parkers, after being bowled out for 88 no one gave up and every believed we could still win.

And then wow to bowl such an experienced batting line up all out for 40 was incredible, 3 great catches and one of the most amazing run outs you will ever see helped get the job done.

Boy we enjoyed it last night and all of today, a few lads didnt make it to school today LOL,

Cant wait to Wednesday night to collect the trophy, quick question are partners welcome to the Presentation Night!

some annoying boycott batted for 77 overs without getting out.

You do what you have to do to win the big prize! Good captains knock! You did a magnificent job with EPCC this year, a club that was on the cusp of folding and you have not only stabilised the club, but started creating a positive culture and getting rid of the dead weight and now you have won a flag!!

Enjoy it mate, you deserve to! ;)

If you play long enough luck balances out. We got the benefit of rain in the Grade 1 GF last year, (although I still think we'd have got things done, the rain made sure of it) and missed a chance to bat this year. Some teams got bailed out this year with the semi final rain, next time they might be on the rough end. Suspensions, umpire decisions hurt at the time when it goes against you, but people quickly forget when they get a few lucky breaks.

Well done to all teams in all grades who made it though. We were disappointed to go down relatively easily in the end, but we were up against a tidy unit who won all the big moments on the day. But every team that even got there had a good season. Thanks also to Brahma for being sporting about the win too. No showboating when they were miles ahead (unlike another side I witnessed that day) and were pretty classy off the field.

Can't say the same about a few Craigmore guys who rocked up on the Saturday with nothing better to do than have a go at us because we got through due to rain. Apparently 8 down with 33 to get is mere formality time. Thankfully when we pointed out a few home truths to them they left about 10 minutes later without a whimper. And to the bloke whose only reply was "I got 8 for" just so long as you did well I guess it doesn't matter if you win or lose, right? I bet any bloke on my side would kill to have had a shocker of a GF and won over having a great match and losing. Sadly most of those Craigmore guys are top blokes, but I guess it shows every club has a few bad eggs.

Thanks mate, we respect your clubs spirit and we knew you were going to make us earn it - we certainly were not taking anything for granted. Very dissapointing from the Craigmore guys, pretty sad when you have to go around on grandfinal weekend and sit on the sidelines just to cause trouble.

Funniest moment for me all weekend when the young blonde headed lad from Craigmore, who I reckon may be a poster, had to walk around in front of the Lodge crowd and copped an absolute earfull....Gold moment

Even funnier when I saw a cricket ball go flying across Philip Hwy, it nearly hit my car. I was told later the story and laughed my head off. Now That's Gold! ;)

Well done to all clubs that won premierships on the weekend, and unlucky to those that couldnt put it all together on the day. 2010/2011 was a great year for cricket, was mostly played in the right way. hope every one enjoys the off season and is primed and ready for another crack at glory come 2012. good luck to brahma lodge in turf cricket next year, what a way to start a new era with flags in grade 1 & 2 and also with a c grade flag also. last but not least GO YOU PANTHERS!!!! in 2011/2012
