I feel for ya, we were wondering where our B and C graders medals were, can't believe the other grades dont do something like it. I know it could be a hassal for the execs doing the shields or whatever, but atleast they could have 12 medals or something so that the winning captain can hand out.

Just a question for the R&C lads, not having a dig, but why was Kenty brought in for Duane? I thought a batter for batter would have been the go, considering Kenty was (must've) been injured and could only bat and field?

Congrats to Brahma on the 3some!
With Brahma going Turf next season taking Div 1 & 2 premiership teams, the association would have to be thinking bout placing their top PDCA team in a minimum of Grade 3... surely?
With that... a slight deflection to the next topic!

Different result? Take his 50 away and maybe Huitema or Browny may have made up the 50 odd with greater balls to face. It's all speculation and we'll never know. Maybe you guys should have used the willow better and it may have been a different result.

Special mention to Darren Huitema who turned the game with his first and second spell, taking both openers and the crucial wicket of Bomber later. Bowled injured with a side strain, shows how far heart can take you. Would have been unlucky to not take the MOM award.

Def alot of what ifs for the game...not only sibb caught behind but hooters bowling massive away swingers to brooksy and given lbw..its like me getting a lbw from around the wicket to a right hander..cant happen...sorry shouldnt happen..also russel given out and was no where near the bat...but hey thats cricket and you blokes def played better cricket and deserved the win.. Imo we didnt play the cricket we were capable of since xmas and carried injuries all the way to the end..def not using injuries as excuse as we were out played on sunday...would of been nice to of had some luck go our way on sat and sunday but didnt get anything..oh well life goes on...

I wonder with Jimmy declaring he would not play in the PDCA next year if the suspension stood for his team mate if he was talking out of frustration or being serious... will this open the door for one of catchit's other fast bowling mates to make his return to the PDCA next year? word at the bash for cash was that he was over turf and was being hit-up by a few clubs...

At the end of the day we should of got the runs with the team we had, felt very comfortable at the crease with bomber and myself playing well, untill i nicked one straight into the young fellas hand at short backward square..very good fielding position which nearly got the red predator a few wickets..still thought we were a chance when bomber and jamie were at the crease.. Bomber out at tea and it was gameover.. Just couldnt get partnerships going which is what we discused as being a must.. Also thought we didnt throw our wickets was more a case of good bowling and abit of badluck..

I would say frustration...but we will be pushing very hard to get donny out of the comp...there was alot of loving lastnight at the rosie camp and alot of serious hand shakes..fair to say we have not achieved what we wanted this year and the one bloke who i thought was leaving started the hand shakes...
As for willy, would be very handy hey ;)

You mean for the association award?? Who is in it then?

Well done to Brahma, good from a club point of view to get a win in the year they leave. Good luck next year!

Shane Brown (BL)
Andrew Carman (AV)
Justin Carman (AV)
Daniel Grgurvic (BL)
Jimmy McCarthy (RC)
John McInnes (SW)
Scott McIntyre (SW)
Adam Ozolins (SW)
Daniel Pargaliti (PG)
Jamie Sibbick (BL)

Sorry but how does pargaliti get in the top ten? Sure might pick up a few 1s and the very odd 2 but seriously it cant happen...again sorry it shouldnt happen.. Not sure how he can poll more than a leo or a davies and raed or even a d jenner...not knocking him but wouldnt be in my top 20 let alone top 10..
LM...how is the medal being done this year?

Mate, I thought you were better than that, as for RM, why didn't he just say what you posted in person while he was down there???

You have to have a backbone to do that...clearly he hasnt...

Massive night at the Lodge last night, I hope everyone made it home ok - I know I barely did.... And thanks to the Salisbury West guys who played our grand final in a good spirit. Although after shaking hands their keeper pipes up with something along the lines of "at least we made the grand final legitimately" - yeah a rained out draw is more legitimate than a forfeit everyday of the week mate....

What a great day yesterday was! Really proud of the performance my team mates and i put on the park! Just makes the win all the more special when you dominate a match like that, noone crumbled under pressure and everyone stuck to thier guns and valued every opportunity given! Well done lads! Just like someone told me out in middle on sunday "noone remembers who finishes 2nd" :p

I agree Masha, I thought Hoots was a real show for the medal maybe if he made a few more runs it may of changed the umpires decision, he took wickets at crucial times and broke through when needed. Sibbs is an umpires favorite though and should win the medal on Wednesday night.

Different result? Perhaps, but there are plenty of times through out the season players could fall back on "what ifs". BL won and they won well in the end. Thats the bottom line, kudos to the club. Plenty of grief given to their club etc thru the season about paying players or moving to turf or whatever, but at the end of the day, no matter what their club did it was the right thing to gain the success they achieved.

Good luck next season in ATCA.

Groover had you snagged that catch at slip late in the day it would've been a beauty!! As for "noone crumbled under pressure and everyone stuck to thier guns and valued every opportunity given!" i don't wanna point out but only a few made runs and applied themselves and even fewer turned it up with the ball.

Enjoy your flag mate, you deserve to, but don't ever think because YOU were part of the winning side on the day, that anyone will remember you...
