PAOC who where 4th, had payneham in there 2nd dig 6/44 with 9 minutes and 3 overs to go, after winning on 1st innings.. Payneham decided to declare as to end the match. Under the rules you cant declare to finish the game eg 3 overs or time to go. ATCA have awarded PAOC the 4 wickets that they still hadnt taken but it still left them .06 behind.

Not likely. Far too reputable school for that.

Has happened in the past, including during the minor round. But you would hope not.....

Certainly would hope not, but from what I've heard it's happened twice in their 4 home games so far this season. And there are reports of it happening in previous seasons as well. Not a good track record at all.

You make it sound like we are the only club that's had troubles... Let me look back at a few games we were involved with this year, old ignatious didn't have a pitch day one (a better one day side than a 2 day side) and grange (A1 ground) both days had puddles each side of the square.. We didnt complain we just got the job done because we didnt know the whole story. Reynella whinge about that ground that day but they also saw what happened and how we had no control over that and we even had the groundsman say he screwed up.. And if u won the toss we would be the ones who would have had to bat first it was just lucky we won the toss....
Good luck to teams this week

Seems they have denied someone a chance to play finals who was genuinely dropped from his club's A grade due to form and his stats showed that in the A Grade. Performances in the 2's did not warrant a call up to the A's again but did improve slightly.![]()
Why also does a player from a lower grade seeking to play finals in the higher grade also needs one.

No idea how it works, are both the grades in question in finals?

No. Think that is the problem. The B grade are the only side still alive.

Not fair on the first bloke as he is not in the club's best XI so therefore should be available for selection in the 2nd XI.
Also fail to see why someone who wasn't in the 2nd best XI be not allowed to move up the grades as cover for injuries etc

Well if that first bloke was playing A's all year and has been dropped recently, especially when the higher team isn't in finals I can understand.
The second one coming up, I don't think is fair. Can anyone else confirm this? He should be free to play with no permit surely.
