Grade 5: R&C 7/173? v ATCO 60 odd - Howell & Bartlett 5 fa each

Rosies played the perfect innings, after being 1/19(10), 2/26(14), 3/35(17) they tired us out and plodded along to be 5/84(41) at tea. Russ and Leon opened up the floodgates to pile on 83 in the last 10 overs to get them to 8/218.
Although the oval was a bit slow in some areas it played pretty true, if we aim at being a competitve team this season 200+ is an expected run chase, it was a bit disappointing though as we let them get away with probably 30 more that we were hoping for, wickets in hand is so vital.

Nick played B's, picked up 2 wickets, he was very close to being selected to play A's, a good knock or two and he'll be in there before too long.
Jamie suited our team balance better this week and gave himself every chance to hold down his spot, he has a great attitude and is a good honest battler, maintained a good line and length throughout the day, was good to see him pick up the first couple of wickets.

Yeah, considering Grade 3 had umpires, there were 10 available this round was what I was told.

Hey everyone,

Is anyone here willing to put together a list of players to play in the bash-4-cash games this season? The day is being held at the South Parklands, Cnr. South Tce & Goodwood Rd, in Adelaide on Sunday the 13th of November. The intention is to play 3 games like at last years event. With a PDCA vs C&CCA U23's - PDCA vs C&CCA over 33's - PDCA vs C&CCA 'First XI'

With the season now underway MOST players should be out and about and I would like to put these lists together asap so I can send out invitation letters to the selected players.

Please PM me if you can help!

Regards,

Andrew Brook.

Tough first day.

we were 8/60 so to get to 160 was a good effort number 10 Lyndon hit 50 odd.

positives were no one threw their wickets away, we genuinely got out to good balls.

Riverside are in effect 1 for as Colbourne cant play next week. Harris was absolutly creaming the ball especially through covers.

Also dropping 5-6 catches inside 30 overs some very tough doesnt help.

Always an enjoyable days play against the Riverside lads and yeah Doggy is still going around.

Odd for this week:
Grade 1:
Central United to win outright 1.10
Rose & Crown 1.20 vs Smithfield 4.90
A.Carman century 1.90/ dismissed before 100 1.90
Grade 2:
Craigmore 2.50 vs Central United 1.50
Eastern Park 8.00 vs Riverside 1.10

Not much else to bet on, most games seem done and dusted.

Its crazy to think that the way games are poised right now, there is a strong possibility of THREE outright wins in grade 1 to start the season!
