Could it be Braidwood & Dizzy back to qualify for finals.
If so then Maroons will be strengthened as well.

They are playing for the Golds along with Dave Burgess, Nathan Green, Paul & David East, Adam Miller, Troy Blakely, Shane Holme, Bobby Bednall & Trev Connor. I also heard that Chopper has put his hand in his extremely deep pocket and has purchased a first class plane ticket from Edinburgh to Adelaide and that Alexander Num will be touching down sometime tomorrow just in case Trev's clearance from Myponga doesn't get through in time.

Not the greatest day for bodie "blocka/the destroyer" wilson... had his castle knocked over by the sheer pace of the Willunga Skippa Serge Minot for 0!!! Not the best day for the apparent in form team of the comp being skittled out for a very gettable 130! Bruce 'Billy' Elliot just proving too good with 6/41 off 20 overs.

yetti you will need to remember for bodie to make it from one end of the pitch to the other he requires twice as many steps as most. which will no doubt take longer.

from what i heard from a couple compass lads it was done fairly obviously he hadnt came close to hitting the umpire all day before that incident but im only goin on word of mouth, he wasnt getting LBWs given to him got angry and "accidently" hit him....if there was no malice in the incident don wouldnt have thought about taking it to the board fair enough apologys allround but it shouldnt happen in this grade let alone cricket itself....had he ever collected a umpire before hand??? not that you hear of or warrants 4 matches...

like i said bloods. unless you know ALL the facts i wouldnt go commenting to much. but then again word of mouth is always accurate isnt it?

little bodes has a monsterous turning circle. offcutter, if his turning circle was as small as his kneck may he have got home??

Look out...... SHARKS patrol these waters! Garrard magic again!!

Why would you get weeks for accidental contact...???
Saw a batsmen absolutely flatten an umpire in ATCA when running for a quick single. The ump suffered cracked ribs and was out of umpiring for a few matches. It was accidental contact and no report or suspension was given.

Geez, still no safety zones happening for anyone. Willunga could knock off McLarens which could give them a small sniff if they can account for the Bays in the last round. Mclarens have Goolwa in the last round which will be a huge game for both clubs. Bays already 2 down chasing a medium size total aren't safe just yet against Elliots bowling line up. Elliots meet Maroons should be a win to finish off with. Willunga with 2 wins to end the minor round will bring them back into contention. Golds with runs on the board could get themselves one step closer but Goolwa are in the same position and will need to bat well (interesting game this one). Aldinga with a sizeable total still need to bowl well against Maroons but have a very hungry Golds in the last minor round game.
Looking at the last minor round games there is major importance in all 4 games. Still looks to me like percentage is going to be a key factor to determine final 4.
Anyone game enough to give predictions on a final 4. (I can't pick it yet)

exactly what im getting at chucka...its hard to comment on but becoz ur clearly from ebay your bias comments will pop up...4 weeks for 'ACCIDENTAL' contact is rubbish he hit the umpire because he was frustrated dont tell me he didnt he wouldnt have recieved a ban if it was accidental

ill put my foot in and predict the top four, if dingy win this and lose the next they will finish the season either ( 7-5 or 8-4)..with a win in the last) Port Elliot will either finish (7-5 or 8-4 ) Goolwa would have to win both games this year to finish (7-5) so a loss would more or less cement them in the bottom half....willunga could still be in but im not putting my money on them to reach the finals, golds looking strong in the same position as goolwa win both they're a chance finishing 7-5...vale looking down the barrel at the moment and a possible loss to goolwa in the last could see them fall below the yellow line so a tough one but my predictions are

......................W1-W-D-L
Port Elliot...........8-0- 4......48 pts
Encounter bay....1- 6-1-6...45pts
Mclaren.............7-1-4.......45pts
Aldinga..............7-0-5.......42pts

Gold..................6-0-6.......36pts
Goolwa..............5-0-7.......30pts
willunga.............5-0-7.......30pts
Maroons............1-0-13......12pts

ebay and vale could switch on percentage.....thats me guess

Its safe to say that Port Elliot have the worst batting line up in the league... to be bowled out for 146 against an Encounter Bay side missing bowlers such as Chris Butler, Adam Moller, Tony Modra & Aaron Moules, says alot... "If" they do make the finals then they will have major issues posting a solid total.

anywhere but victor.

Pt. Elliot or Encounter Bay are your closest options away from victor.

Enc Bay would b the pick, they are one of the best clubs in the association and a far better option that Pt. Elliot. IMO i am absolutely shocked to see Pt Elliot still in the top four. If they are lucky enough to hold on to a finals spot they will b very beatable. They just don't have the depth to be a contender.

Top four to be:

Enc Bay
McLaren
Aldinga
Mt Compass Gold

With the GF to be Enc Bay v Compass Gold, Enc Bay to be the premiers for 2009/10!

i dont get why we have this label of no depth we have been bowled out cheaply all year but that proves a lack of depth in the remander of the teams in the league the only team this year to post a good score against us was willunga, so i struggle to understand why we have we still get bagged yet we are a good side, encounter bay on the other hand, without cammy in that side they have a lack of depth too being bowled out by golds for 99...but of course encounter bay is well known for its big headedness, and am glad to say encounter bay would be the last place id play cricket or anyone with half a brain would agree, ebay are worse than goolwa for talking it up......we will see come finals time and i hate to lose to a team with such a LACK of depth.....but if we have such a lack of depth yous should easily account for us this week ;) ...but not likely elliots to smash ebay and finish top and prove it doesnt take a team with depth to win A grade games as we have proved this year

bloods as silly as you are you make some valids points. it doesnt take depth to win games of cricket. it takes individual efforts. a few years back we were beaten in a prelim by JI all by himself. made 100 and then took early wicket the next day. peeky has single handedly kept willunga in the hunt for fianls this year, with brucey elliot being the only other one to contribute at any stage. if elliot make finals they will be just a dangerous as any other side. on paper not as good but be careful.

on the club you would play for. i know it will sound bias but i would play for the enc bay. we have a turf wicket. good club facilities. good training facilities and good people.

bloods i would like to know who the 'big headed' ones are from the bay. i think we can add moller to the list but i would like to know who else pumps themselves up more than necessary. i would be surpirsed if you can find another ligit candidate for that list.

I would also add young quick Aaron Moules to that list... very arrogant, but by saying that... both Aaron & Adam are great players... & as for Port Elliot... they might have a decent bowling line up but it wont be enuf for them this weekend, even if the chances do come, young Hamish Robertson will most likely drop them... ;)
