Yes agree, we discussed this yesterday. I was at the Gd 5 game. When we won, the players slapped hands then packed the mats up and went home. Every grade puts in the hard work so should be rewarded with something on the day

Can you imagine Frank Brown carrying the premiership trophy on the 224F? There's half of your answer. I understand the sense of "what do we do now" but that's why they have the association medal night. Get your team down there and make an almighty roar.

P.S: Well bowled yesterday.

Try having a washout, last year we won the Grade 2 flag after waiting around for a couple of hours, we then had to drag the 2 ton mats in, hang them up and get stuck into the winners p!ss, it made it harder having the Garden lads in with us, I told the boys to keep a lid on it til they left.
It was the most anti-climatic premiership I've played in, we forgot to do a photo aswell.

Rather interesting that Stama didn't feature in the top ten vote-getters. I had him pencilled in for 14 votes, equal 3rd.

You mean for the association award?? Who is in it then?

Well done to Brahma, good from a club point of view to get a win in the year they leave. Good luck next year!

Justin should win.

The two other Carman's will steal votes off him.
Sibbs would be odds on favourite. I calculated that he should get 19 votes, but then again, what would I know.

great post and great verdict on the game and if sleep got caught when he shudve (payney) it would be very close result, even if the batters couldnt back up there sledging (linhart) funny how cocky ppl can get playing grade 8 PDCA when they do f all.. but sleep today was a clinic to watch and TTG deserve to win.. well done timmy alosi with putting x distict players in there spot

yeah i knew it was payne just didnt want to upset the great man lol....great spell of bowling by tim aloisi very underated bowler imho.... as for sleep he was the difference no doubt about that i still think if that catch of him was taken brahma could have won....but well done to there a,b,c grades they have done what other clubs can only dream about doing....will be interesting to see what happens next year and what players play para districts next year have heard lots are leaving....

Pretty much, basically went through each game and wrote down who should've got 3,2 & 1. Even you scored 9 but no doubt you would've found some way to lose them ;)

I had the following:
Sibbs 19
Justin 15
Stam, S.Mc 14
Oz 12
Hannun 11
Leo 10
A.Carman, Cree, J.McInnes, Huitema, Groover 9.

The red ones didn't get an invite. There were quite a few that could've gone a few different ways, Browny & Jimmy were touch and go with a few.

Different result? Take his 50 away and maybe Huitema or Browny may have made up the 50 odd with greater balls to face. It's all speculation and we'll never know. Maybe you guys should have used the willow better and it may have been a different result.

Special mention to Darren Huitema who turned the game with his first and second spell, taking both openers and the crucial wicket of Bomber later. Bowled injured with a side strain, shows how far heart can take you. Would have been unlucky to not take the MOM award.
