Calling someone a wanker is against site rules mate, not my rules, that's why there was no warning or pm to go with it. The other ones are within the limits.
All BS aside, this thread is one of the most used ones on here, there's plenty of stuff that I let go but it just makes me and our group look silly if the line doesn't get drawn somewhere.
Twice in the last week other mods have got on here and cleaned it out and stamped some authority, it does get a bit embarassing when they have to, I'd rather that nothing gets brought to their attention.
I know who most of the posters are on here and realize a lot of what gets written is all in good fun so I'm fine to let things go most of the time.

For me

-finish work at 8:15 tonight
-go home have dinner spend some time with the daughter before she goes to bed
-relax six pack of beer and watch the friday night footy
-after footy bed
-wake up early as usual
-crank the music on channel v and i tunes on the computer
-dont eat breakfast
-head of to the ground.

As captain it will be try to sleep but get none. So spend half the night thinking of how the game will go, wake up super early, get nervous like i did last week and power chuck ( never thrown up from nerves in my life ! ) Head to the ground and hope everything just falls into place haha

yeah being a captain myself i do find it hard to not constantly think about the game, opposition batters, field placings, bowling changes etc etc etc especially considering i have obsessive compulsive tendancies lol

I've got to say i feel a lot more relaxed than last week. Perhaps it's because last week the pressure was really on to win and this week we are the underdogs, but either way i feel good :)

Might change by tomorrow though!

Same situation here we are the number 2 seed playing against the 1 seed, we went 1-1 against each other during the minor round and am at the opposite end of the age spectrum.

I'm always nervous. Would have played a couple of hundred club games in my time and still sometimes I wonder how I manage to even get to the game, let alone do anything useful....8-[

With one of the Rosies guys getting rubbed out for a fairly minor offence, it got me thinking about the equity in the handing down of penalties all across the association. For example, how can it be a reasonably weighted penalty when I know for a fact that one of our guys was fined $20.00 for wearing grey socks, and we were also fined $20.00 for not confirming the result of a game which was an inexperienced user error , not a deliberate act, and Eastern Park only get a $350.00 fine for forfeiting a semi final and basically turning the whole competition into a joke? I think they need to look at the whole system in the off season and make sure they have their penalties fitting the crimes both in administration and on the field.

There isn't any discretion with respect to fines. Each offence has a specific fine. Those that decided on those fines felt they were fair and reasonable at the time. If you don't share that view then there is a time and place to raise that issue.

BTW, the fine for a finals forfeit is $250........

I understand that and agree it is the right way to have "set" fines for these types of things, but I suppose what I am trying to say is that forfeiting a semi has got to be much worse than 10 times as bad as an offence than simply wearing grey socks! I think It needs to be looked at again, thats all.

Not much we could do when 5-6 blokes refused to play because they would rather play in a football trial match.
