A problem for Grant would be how many games he batted twice you can only get 3 votes a game and making 50 in both innings and being the best player for the game doesn't get you any more votes. A good year all the same but i can only see him polling against Mitchell Pk, Keswick and Glenelg.

Ferris from Westminster took some bags of wickets and should get a few 3 vote games.

Well done to Rob Hopkins for winning the Hewett Medal ahead of Michael Ledgard and Rob Drenthen who tied for second on 11 votes. Rob Hopkins got 5 b.o.g. and polled in 3 other games an outstanding effort.

Talk seems to be a bit quiet on this forum so lets get it going. Has there been any major changes at any of the clubs. Any players moving to other clubs etc. Long way till start of the season but would like to hear any gossip.

This forum could actually be very good if players from all grades/clubs were aware of it.
I wouldnt mind seeing something in the handbook or otherwise distributed to clubs about it.
It can only be a positive for more interaction between players and clubs etc

Greg Pritchard will be playing for WYC in season 08/09 after playing for Plympton the last few years. Haven't heard anything else from any other clubs except that Ledgard is probably back at Southern Districts this year.

Probably easiest to get a link on the ASCA Website to the footy forum with directions to our thread if we're looking for more input.

Unlikely to be many significant changes at the ramblers in the coming season, but really too early to say. Possible retirement of Paul Durham after a few solid seasons in Section 1.

How will Greg be used with you guys Bloods, first or second change bowler? He was captain last year with them, will leave a hole in there bowling line up, with Pritchard leaving not sure if Mcrae will stick around either.

yeah he will probably bowl first change with us and bat middle-lower order i would've thought should be a handy replacement for Shannon Wright. Not sure about Mcrae he has apparently been offered the captaincy and they have apparently signed Tarque Williamson as coach for lots of $$$$$$$$$$$. He would help with their bowling i would think.
