This at least the 2nd time Bodie has been run out this year! Perhaps he should be out doing some footy training and doing some sprint work. :)

butler copped 4 weeks, surely he will learn from his idiotic mistakes!, my tips this week, Vale too strong for a one man team willunga look for big man bodie and JI to score highly again against the gentle pace of minot , Goolwa after thumping a struggling port elliot outfit will come back down to earth vs golds who are firing at the right time of the year so to is goolwa, golds in a close one!, Ebay and elliot should be interesting, elliot need a win to secure a final spot and ebay playing for the double chance, elliot just....and aldinga v maroons... maroons shouldnt be under estimated if they can make 160 against a good Vale unit look for them to post a even higher score vs dingy, but with those garrad boys in the mix dingy will cruise home! good luck lads

i wouldnt be commenting to heavily on the butler incident until you know the facts. there was no malice in it. he appologised on the day and again since. if you talk to all parties involved i think you'll find it wasnt ''idiotic'' more accidentla. copped 4 and has been made an example of.

yetti you will need to remember for bodie to make it from one end of the pitch to the other he requires twice as many steps as most. which will no doubt take longer.

accidently clipped umpire on way in to bowl from what i know. havent heard much more on it.

Bays to absolutely smash elliot on the weekend. cammy lintern to make plenty. has been hitting the ball very big all week in town @ the country carnival by all reports. hope robertson and co can pick him up early otherwise it will be a long day for the elliot boys.

The Garrard boys to beat the Maroons.
Mclarenvale will smash Willunga.
Goolwa to demolish the Golds.
Encounter bay will make a mockery of Port Elliot.

from what i heard from a couple compass lads it was done fairly obviously he hadnt came close to hitting the umpire all day before that incident but im only goin on word of mouth, he wasnt getting LBWs given to him got angry and "accidently" hit him....if there was no malice in the incident don wouldnt have thought about taking it to the board fair enough apologys allround but it shouldnt happen in this grade let alone cricket itself....had he ever collected a umpire before hand??? not that you hear of or warrants 4 matches...

Yeah, pretty hard to comment on unless you were at the game. Wow 4 weeks?! Big loss to have your strike bowler out, but the Bays have the depth and talent to cover his absence I'm sure..

Chee Quee you're right about the Bodman.. even worse was the fact that he nearly ran 2.. all the way up to the striker's end, and then turn around and all the way back to the bowlers!!

A call of "wider turning circle than a Mack truck" was also allegedly heard on the day..

Rumor a couple of huge inns for Golds this week.
Could it be Braidwood & Dizzy back to qualify for finals.
If so then Maroons will be strengthened as well.
