Morphies batted first and got about 188, with S Byrne making 88 not out. Morphies lack of bowling depth cost them in the end. The outfied was extremely slow, so Morphies score was more like 220-230, but obviously same for both sides.

Capable of making a lot of runs in a very big hurry. Hits it a long way.
His best days are behind him, but if he gets his eye in, look out !!

Kangy definitely a stronger side now than we have been used to in recent seasons. Gave Noarlunga a good battle in the Twenty/20 clash at the Shoe. I don't generally rate Twenty/20's as a guide to relative strength, but this is a continuation of good recent efforts by them just prior to Chistmas.
Noarlunga got up by about 15 runs. Jimmy Edwards 73 not out was probably the difference.
Does anyone know any other results from today ?

jack08 WTF?
why is it that we dont get some good debate about cricket on this site?
We are now getting an idea about who is around the mark as the sides to play finals in 2 day format 20/20 and now the one dayers are coming up also the myer shield squads? so lets have some constructive debate about cricket in the sca.
Also great to see T Bahr having a good win with the outbacks in the country carnival and all the best for the upcoming games.

Good call shoe boy i still think cove are going well plus they have there best and fairest coming back from last season.Noarlunga still right there and will only get better coming into the finals.Porties just will not give up they play with heart and passion but just lack a little of sting.M/V they can be scary on there day but if they got to finals they would be happy with that and would be a fair effort.kangys they just keep batling on.Seaford not sure what the go is has the wheels come off dont think so myself it will be on in every game for them to fight there way into the finals good luck to all clubs. ;)

I would like to think Scarfy would put his hand up.
As for my Myer shield side I would look at a squad that I would have thought would be training by now?

COVE
S Comer
M Thomas
D Thomas
Sloney
S Titterson
B Kinnear
Morphett Vale
S Carlton
S Bryne
KANGARILLA
M Thorpe
M Houghston
SEAFORD
R Allard
R Ross
PORT NOARLUNGA
M Boes
AJ Burgess
M Nankerviss
S Brown
NOARLUNGA
J Edwards
T Bahr
S Hodgeman
J Scarfe
J Peach
FLAGGIES
dont remember the lads name but he could be anything if he pulled his head in and had more pride in his ability! he is a red head who opens the bowling and also has a good eye with the bat.

Just my thoughts and am sure a side from this squad would be hard to beat. :)

You could polish down a pint by the time you need to swing at one of his balls. There is quicker in the association than him
