Willunga were bowled out for about 217, aldinga are 0/1
The greats weren't great because at birth they could paint,
The greats were great because they paint a lot.

Compass Maroons batted slowly but steady and made 167 against the Vale yesterday, not a bad score...Difabio and Wilson the destroyers with 9 between them.

Should be good run chase next week.

Andy Evans 8/29 against Port Elliot today, great stuff mate!

The Pies rolled Elliot finally for 90 odd after having them 9 for about 50.

How did Aldinga go in their run chase?? If the Demons got up, Goolwa should now be in the 4!!

Big game now aghainst Golds who should now be in 5th!!

Great game at Elliot yesterday with goolwa continuing their late run to finals. Evans taking 8/21 off 24 but was well backed up by his fielders. turned out to be the difference in the match. well done to ji for hitting some form when needed tonning up.

Interesting results opn the weekend

Willunga are almost GONE...Big shock this year thought after being in the GF last year would have been certainties to play finals..

Port Elliot look like there run is coming to an end, they lack depth and are finally getting found out for it, must give them a big pat on the back though for some of their efforts this year.

Aldinga, Bays and McLaren are the 3 form teams, with Goolwa...Who make a late run every year, should be a few interesting games to come and with finals around corner everyone is still Live.....

IMO ebay would be a lot stronger if they there team was alot more stable, but were missing as few players on the week end. They never seemed settled in first week as i feel they were missing there star player adam "the gun" moller  , but nether the less his arrogance could still be heard from the club rooms. Just a tad disappointing he couldn't stick around for a beer after both the 2 weeks. :(

Well, clearly the next two rounds important for all clubs..

But IMO, the only certainty is the loser of this week's clash between Goolwa and Mt Comp Gold is gone.. With Aldinga and Elliot's having the Maroon's once each in the last 2 weeks (and on form you'd assume a win for both those clubs), a loss this week will mean the end for the boys at Compass or Goolwa.

For the same reason, Willunga are gone. You'd expect Aldinga and Elliot to get 6 points at least in the last 2 rounds, and with them at the moment 2 games and pecentage behind 3rd and 4th, no chance...

note** comments here assume no outright results..

yoda jnr, any reason Moller didn't play? Your comments indicate he was at the game. Injury?

Does anyone know if the ladder shown on MyCricket is the same as the one that the league is using this year? It may seem a stupid question, but I have heard that the COY points allocation is different to what the league will use when awarding COY this season and wondered whether it will be the same for the table.

As Offcutter has stated, match of the round will be the Goolwa v Golds. It will basically be an elimination final of sorts. It is amazing how close this season is. With two rounds remaining there are still 6 teams in the hunt for finals. If Willunga jag an outright then they are still in the hunt. Even the Bays and McLarens aren't safe, it is still possible for both of those teams to miss out if they lose their final 2 games!

The make-up of the finals could come down to Maroons. If they can cause an upset in the next 2 rounds it will really throw the cat amongst the pigeons!

Good luck to all!

Yes Sherm, and the lifeblood of the Maroon's is Cheesey... underbowled on Saturday, but still managed to have an impact with a direct hit runout. A comedy of errors saw the in-form Bodie Wilson short of his ground! Enough to get the votes..

I heard it was his partner's fault! JI on a late run at COY needed to try to get rid of one of his rivals  ;)
