Could be an interesting day's cricket this Saturday,
With Westminister alreday winning it now makes it tough for Keswick or Nth Haven to make the finals, both teams would have to win outright to get in.
Nth Haven only need another 50 runs, they could have a chance, where as Keswick still need 140 odd, ( will they have a crack at it, keeping in mind that chasing runs isn't one of there strong points ).
Then again if Westminister win outright, the 2 teams above can't make it.
ANA 38, what goes on there ???

You would think that South Rd are the only chance of dropping out of the finals race if Nth Haven or Keswick were to win outright as i don't see Westminster not getting the outright from the position they are in. Although i doubt that south rd are going to lose to Coromandel. I heard that Westminsters new pitch is very spongy and hard to bat on our B grade played there recently and they said it is a minefield with a new ball and very similiar to playing with a tennis ball, but it gets easier with a older/softer ball. Obviously Glenelg didn't get the chance in their first dig for the ball to get old. Should make for an interesting end to the year with plenty of potential outrights and the chance for all four sides to move positions in the final four.

A&SCA went down in the final of the CUSA Cup chasing 218 being all out in the last over for 180. Although we lost today it was a great effort from the boys to get there and it was great to see a bit of support out there too.

Who do you guys look like playing in the Semi-Final Sarge? Do you have a preferred option?

We are a possibility of playing anyone that makes the finals, but at this point but it is shaping up to be ICC Sharks. We will play them if they lose to Mitchell Pk and Westminster win outright and South Rd win.

We beat Coro Ramblers by about 30 runs today a couple of their lower order batting very well after we went through the middle order quickly. Anyone know the ICC Vs Mitchell Pk score and the Westminster Vs Glenelg game.

we beat plympton outright, westminster beat glenelg outright, keswick beat morphys outright, always outrights this time of year, not enough for us to get over the finals line but none the less an excellent result for a young side like ours, very good things to come.... hopefully!

Ramblers bad run before and after Xmas cost us dearly this yr, but with only 4 blokes over 23 in the side, it's looking pretty positive. Mind you, the old blokes take the average age out to atleast 30...

Looking at the finals I'd be leaning towards Western Youth and South Road to get up, but I wouldn't surprised if ICC get over the line if WYC don't get runs from top 4. South Road too much depth in batting for Westminster to win but you never know. Premiership favourite for me remains WYC but South Rd almost on par.

ICC batted first against us and made 9/232 batted their 75 overs. It was a long hard day in the field in the heat. Not sure what the temp is for today but we may not get out to chase the runs if it reaches 40.

Sheidow A's batted a full 60 6/219. Macca batted a full 4 hours to lead with 76 with him and Mal 48 putting on a great 2nd wicket stand. Sharks balled tight keeping us to 0/16 off 15 overs but wickets in hand always would help as we scored 167 runs off the final 30 overs. taxing day on all with one guy having to leave with heat stroke. Where very keen to defend but with what happened yesterday doubt the umpires will allow a start.

B's rolled WYC for 66 and finished 3/189 off 21 overs. In that innings there were 8 singles 31 fours a five and 5 sixes. Good result as they would not of advanced as they finished 3rd

What are peoples tips for this years GF in all sections.

Mine are

1 WYC
2 Sheidow Pk
3 Sheidow Pk
4 Belair
5 Adelaide Cavs
6 Clapham
7 Mitchell Pk

Lets hope the weather does not decide the premiers

Probably yes but they should be up regardless they have won all 12 games thus far and one of them was an outright so regardless of whether they win the GF they should be in Section 1 next IMO. As it turns out they are playing a b grade team anyway so i would think that they would go up.

I agree with you bloods, they are good enough, got a blend of experience and youth, but they have failed at the final hurdle in the past, Sarge, Fordy, your side needs a big things from you this week, and the other young fellas, dont leave it up to Mal and Joz! Good to see Ravo back playing, i have those pictures ready Sarge...... you know the ones
