The umpire yesterday did something we had never seen before.. 10 overs left and he called a drinks break without telling anyone and dissapeared straight away to the toilet. We thought nothing over it until 15 minutes later we were all waiting still. One of the Brighton boys went to check and he was having a shower! He said he was crook but told nobody and we ended up having 2 of the Brighton guys umpire for 3 overs then before he came back out... I think we waited 25 minutes

Missing 6 players across 4 teams....makes selection very difficult

So much riding on this round for the bottom 4 of A2, win and you stay up, lose and your gone. Going to be an interesting round across the board. Is this the round where clubs with multiple teams gunning for semi final action start to tinker with there line ups ?? Do a club like pooraka , who are miles infront in A2, drop some players to the B grade to try and get them across the line??

We had 8 out tonight. Managed to fill the 44 after a few messages and phone calls... A few first gamers for the club.

No way. That's weak.

Our goal is to beat Unley, then win the semi, then win the grand. A lot of unfinished business from last year. We are hoping the b block get over the line, would be good to have more teams in the finals, but personally I think dropping players to bring a team into finals is weak.

Well said. The other factor is that half the team is in line to win the A2 batting trophy. Might see some interesting running between the wickets this week.

Seems pretty reasonable I would have thought, why change a winning formula. Interesting that PAOC have gone the opposite way, appearing to name some of their A-grade players in the B-grade who need to win to be a shot of playing finals

this is a kick in the guts for the regular B Grade players who have played all year - basically saying that the current team is not good enough to win and make finals. Whoever wins this A4 contest will play finals, Goodwood wouldn't be doing the same as they need to win their game against PAOC to make finals. This also could cost PAOC an A1 home final if they lose to Goodwood

Bloody dangerous and a joke. tell me when there is not a threat of rain in finals. You would want to finish as high as possible.
