Still wouldve beat them without him

Brod it seems strange you expect Enfield to figure it out before the game but you guys say you didnt know till after. Maybe be there is more than one person misleading everyone. Why your on it well done in beating Enfield 2nd or 3rd ranked side. Maybe next year you could grow a pair and play div 1.[/quote]

George i would have no problem in going up to div 1 but saying that Paralowie have not had 11 players for 1 saturday this year yet and in div 1 that just wont hold up! Infact 1 saturday we only had 8 then 2 weeks 9 and 1 week 10......

As for the strength of Enfield you can only beat the side you come up against.

Paralowie (7 batters) 66 v PV 5/100 odd.

How I wish we had proper umpires. We would've made more and they probs wouldn't have scored that many. Dodgy calls made by own umpires in both innings

Not a great day at the office for an 8 man Paralowie after winning the toss and batting with only 3 making double figures.

PARALOWIE 66
Frith 13
Vanderbryl 18
Soltan 15n/o

Brown, Starke and J.Vines 2 wickets each and Wiles 1

ParaVista are 5/100 off 34 overs

Brown, Vines and Martin all 20 odd

Holland 3/19 off 11
Soltan 2/22 off 7
you've gota keep on keep'n on .........

Rose Park 'A' 252 vs NEK 'A'
Rose Park 'B' 40 vs Brooklyn 113

After winning the toss and electing to bat in humid conditions, Rose Park's openers were looking to kill their skipper as they were both out cheaply. At 2 for 20, Brenton Reidy entered the crease and everything he touched turned into gold. The agressive batsman fell 8 runs short of his ton to set Rose Park up for a big score. However once he was dismissed, Rose Park hit the self destruct button and lost 5 for 20 and is serious doubt of scoring much more than 200. Ian Henderon was at the crease and for the 2nd game in a row was taking to the bowling attack but needed a partner to stick around. (Can't believe I'm about to write this  ) Rob O'Gorman strode to the crease and became Henderson's unlikely partner in crime as they boosted the score to 252, before Henderson was the final man out on the last over of the day for 49. Thorpe from NEK was the pick of the bowlers and showed why he's one of the leading wicket takers in the comp, bowling several unplayable deliveries. Cheers to the NEK lads for sticking around for a bevy or 2 despite a long day in the field, but we know with several of their big hitters any score is not unatainable for them.

Im sure it was an oversight cougar, but how many runs did Shane Watson's replacement make.....all us fans are hanging to know. By the way i heard the Egyptians are currently cleaning out the great Pyramid of Giza and they are removing all of Pharaoh Khufu's stuff in preparation for Rob O'Gorman.

Fitzies A's chasing Adelaide Lutherans 252 next week. Borgy 70 or 80. Not sure who else made runs.

Fitzies B grade rolled Enfield B/C grade for 20 and are 6/80 in reply.

Enfields C grade called and asked for a one-dayer next week, Tommy grudgingly accepted(with a smile on his face).

Yeah, Dave took 2 catches too. Were pretty short of players in both grades this week.

Seaton batted well today and ended up on 211. Their captain made 66 and batted most of the day. Few of the lower order came in late and hit some big balls to help the score along at the end. T Wilson took 3/21 I think, Hoddo took 3/55 off 14, Marshall bowled well but was wicketless, McLeod and Cossens both took 1 and there were 2 run outs from some pretty bad calls.

Should be a good chase next week.

Auto those boudaries have been pushed back a bit since one bloke top edged a pull shot that was caught, only for the fielder to be 40 metres away from batsman but still having to signal 6  ;)

Whilst we know nearly any score against NEK can be run down by them, if you'd offered me 252 before the start of play, I would have taken it.

No.1 Source our B's also had 10 overs to bat out the night too  So there could have been more than 20 wickets fallen on day one!

And for the statsmen, O'Gorman hit 2 X 4s and 1 X 6 in his 15.
