So Sarge how do you guys think you would go in Section 1 next year? As there is a fair chance that is where you will be. It could be two years in a row for a section 2 side to go through undefeated. Which sides do you rate in Section 2?

Surely Mitchell Pk will be the side that gets demoted they have had another poor season. They just can't seem to make any runs.

I would agree with Tight Lines. We can really only worry about the next 2 games and then the semi final. It would be pointless looking any further forward than that. We really want to be playing section one cricket next year but there is still alot of work for us to do.

On another topic has any side ever been promoted from section 2 to win the section 1 premiership the next year? South Road would have to be a big chance this year and i am just wondering if it has been done before.

Good question Sarge they are a big chance of doing it and i wouldn't think it has been done before. Understand you don't want to look to far ahead but you shouldn't really lose a game this year unless something drastic happens.

Spiteful match on the weekend between the Ramblers and ICC Sharks. Best one dayer I've seen, but tarnished by the poor conduct of several players and lack of control by Umpire Chris Whibley.

I'm not one for abusing an Ump, but when he trots around at Association meetings saying certain players are 'whingers' when no ump has ever had an issue with a couple of those blokes in over 10 years of section 1 cricket, he should start to take a look at his own umpiring. A couple of dubious decisions didn't help proceedings either.

That is interesting AF we have had Chris a couple of times this year and we have not had a problem with his decisions(maybe a little tough on lbw, but equally tough) or with the way he handled any conflict in a game. Although not one to bag umpires i think there has been 2 umpires we have had this year that should certainly not continue next year nor should they get a Section 1 final.
It was a good win by you guys, ICC are a very good side, we are looking forward to playing you guys in a fortnights time.

A very good effort by Ledgard from ICC making 197 on the weekend. We are in a interesting position against Nth haven who made 193 and we are 3 fa 74 so should be a good game anyone know the coro ramblers score from this game>

Looks like Morphys arn't in a hurry to post the scores from the weekend....no surprise really as the Ramblers have already won.

Morphy Parks all out 161 from 49 overs, Ramblers 6/202 from 24 overs.....and that's not a typo. K Gill the chief assassin with the bat with 87 from 51 in an opening stand of 128 off about 13 or 14 overs.

So AF you guys are obviously desperate for an outright, that is some fair batting to be going at 9 runs per over are you intending to declare straight away and hopefully chase down a total at the end. That will be a interesting one to see if morphies and keep you out for long enough.

We will declare, 40 ahead already and see what happens. Better to leave the game slightly open for them than to bat on and then they shut up shop. There was a heck of a lot of playing and missing early in their innings and some dropped catches too, which gives us more hope for next week. We have a faint chance of playing finals if we win outright but will need a win over your boys next week, which I can't remember doing for years.

Well seems you really dont like the guy there bloods. Did he carry on whilst he was bowling yesterday? Sheidow Park beat Kenilworth by 18 runs. Ugly win but a good one to win seeming how poorly we played mind you we did take 14 wickets to win that match nothing worst then having to cheat to get a win. Call it how you see it. I'd say now that the Sec 2 4 wil be Sheidow, Sharks, Keswick, Warradle now Keswick outright and a win next week will leap frog them up.

A couple of dropped catches and 38C made it too tough for the ramblers to win outright on the weekend. 202 off 22 overs couldn't be repeated like the previous week.

Situation for a possible finals berth is now very simple, beat WYC outright.

Is that saying that beating WYC outright is easy or that it is easy to see that you need an outright to make the finals. :D
