Reckon I may make a comeback, just to have the honour of playing against the Punk at some stage this year, now just need to find a club that plays against you that wants an ex opening batsman that was a tonker and is now 20kg overweight and nearly 50

It was rained out, so the "Safooty Showdown" of Ecky and May-Z vs Punky and Michael has to wait until a one-day game next week.

The Cricket Gods can't handle the pressure of such a salivating contest, that is Fitzroy B's v Adelaide Lutheran B's...

Should get a game this week if the pitch isnt totally covered in water. Could have almost gone for a swim in those conditions on the weekend.

Coming back end of the month Dutchy. You must be short on bowling options to ask about my "spin" bowling. Was even bowling medium pace outswingers up here>>

It wouldn't have been 28 balls though, would it Punk? I'll add it up tonight...
As a comparison, MayZ made 55 off 37 balls, and I made an edgy 16 off 27 balls.
Adelaide Lutheran 224 d Fitzroy 68. Payback for the game where you guys thrashed us last season!

Punky faced 18 balls (+ 2 wides).
MayZ bowled 10 of those balls to him, none of which were scored off and I remember a few plays and misses in there!

This is how it went. I come out to bat at 9/50 odd. block first ball then try and slog the next ball out of the park and miss. battled it out for a couple of overs. Then the opener comes back on. he tries a shorter ball which i cut for 4. Then 2 balls later i leave one that is one the stumps and get bowled

We get 68

Come out to bowl all fired up. Bowl a maiden to Ecky. most on his legs or down leg side. Then for the next few overs i get slogged through mid wicket when the ball was full and on off stump. :(
Go around the wicket to Ecky to change the angle and try something different and get him first time. It was a bad ball which got hit to Gully :D :D.

They go on to get 224.
It's Somma Time!
