Might be up to your new coach SMAC, i assume Russell has moved onto SACA duties, pretty hard to run a Grade Club, SACA and a small family.

Why would you assume that? He's still top of the coaching tree at NDCC.

Always up to the player what level of cricket they play... Good players pick themselves.

Not necessarily so at NDCC when you have certain players that can't be dropped from the a grade.
SMAC look up and see the coaches from other clubs circling above Salisbury oval if a new coach isn't appointed

I know a few that would be certainly out of the door if Russell is re appointed. It happens, its nothing against Russell as a coach but certain players havent reached their potential under his lead and wont while he is there.

Which players are they?
From memory K Pascoe, Hanson, Francis, Borgas have all played B Grade in the last season or so, add to those Bain, Hall, Burge, Williams etc... who are regularly up and down the grades. Would have thought the rest of them (T Pascoe, Frick, Marks, Duval) are proven performers in A grade. Main Reason Jets performed so poorly this year is that they didn't have Cosgrove, Westfield & B.Wright to win them minor round games.

Thompson is a good coach and I know of at least 2 grade clubs that would love to have him in charge.

Thommo will be the coaching director at NDCC next season, with a focus on strategy, coach development and specific skills coaching. I'd be surprised if any players leave as a result of this.

This weekend we are advertising for an A Grade coach, Senior assistants and Junior coaches to fill a newly developed coaching structure.

Sorry, that was a little sneaky of me - although we didn't confirm with any great weight until last Thursday night that this would be the case, it was highly likely.

But I had fun!

I'll take the draw... :D

Any coaching announcements?

How about at Glandore? 3 for the price of 1?

We are still waiting to hear at TTGDCC but id say Cammo would be a fair chance.

A Grade, grade cricket premiership winning coach from 3 seasons ago.
Also hear a change of President at the Buffalos is imminent.

Considering the current one has already resigned due to work commitments and was unable to attend the presentation evening due to said commitments.

I know that Adelaide have been doing it tough lately but surely they did not have to beg for someone to coach them?? ;)

H31, what is going on, doesn't everyone know that Sayers is coaching and Ian Graham has replaced Brenton Barrett as President. Any chance you will get a President that lives within an hour of Glandore.

FS, not sure that I would be leaving the Peckers playing staff at this stage. We all pretty much know young Chad will get a contract, so let us assume that he will not play a lot of Grade Cricket, so what can you offer - perhaps a coach that knows his name - naughty me.

correction Ian Graham is only care taker at this point in time, He has been appointed by the board to lead the club until the AGM, He is in my opinion welcome to nominate for the position and I can't see many more nominations coming from anyone else. Perhaps some more recently retired players take up roles.

I expect a few younger blokes to nominate for positions on the committee, following through on some talk earlier in the season.

100% on the Money re the Coach though, Dean Sayers has the job. Not sure if he is going to raid Woodville considering he recruited a couple of our blokes in his time at Oval Ave it would be nice to see them return. Any others that follow would be welcomed with open arms :)
