That is a fair effort and i would think that would be a record for our comp at least. Hard work winning when that happens.

Maybe Coromandel might think twice next time before agreeing to a one dayer against a supposedly lower side. IMO it takes the advantage away and nearly paid the price.

get your facts right you ignorant twat. how dare you have the audacity to make a comment like that after the gratitude that coromandel showed plympton on day 1 last week

And you were offended by this comment  ...... Last time i checked this was a cricket forum where cricket issues are raised and to make it interesting personal (not club Jabber, nice ducking and weaving though ;) ) opinons given.

Only saw him bat but he came to the crease to face a very good bowler and the few deliveries he faced he looked ok (from along way away).... Unfortunately he came in right at the end of the innings and didnt have many alternatives.

Maybe I've missed something, but I can't work out what you blokes are excited about from FIGs comments. Perhaps "you had to be there"...

you are more than entitled to your opinion which is obviously short of knowing or understanding any facts about what happened on the morning of the saturday of week 1. but youre right about this being a forum for discussion and thats what im doing. discussing the fact that you dont know anything about the situation. cheers

AF, FIG made that comment and my response was in regards to the fact that Coro could have elected to move the game to another available ground on the morning of week 1, but elected not to. Moving the game to another oval would have taken away the $$$ opportunity Plympton had by having Aker actually playing at Plympton. It was a small act of respect towards Plympton as an ASCA club. We acknowledge the fact that clubs are self funded and rely on these types of fundraisers. To have made that gesture and then have FIG make that comment makes me think twice about doing something similar next time. And dont worry Jabber I acknowledge that his comments dont reflect Plymptons opinion. Cheers for the beers after the game mate, hope Saturday night was a good one.

He hasn't even been into the club for about the last 6 months at least, so whatever information he's getting must be second third or fourth hand, or he's made it up which would be closer to the case.

Chinese whispers... purple monkey dishwasher!

Everyone involved in the day from the committee to the players and the regular supporters understands that the game could have moved to Clapham Primary, and are thankful for Coro's stance in helping out PFCC by keeping the game at Plympton. So the comments on here from FIG are not helpful, and I could understand when after a Club does something compasionate toward another club, then you read tripe on a forum about it, that the club would throw its arms in the air, shrug the shoulders, and think well why the hell should we bother doing that again!

Fair enough, but I think it is being a touch precious. I certainly don't consider any comments on here to be the position of any club.

Ok so I have been out of the A grade scene for a while but so far this year have been absolutely disgusted with the level of umpires we are being supplied with. I understand it is hard to get them and we should be happy to have them . But come on as far as I am concerned you are being paid to do a job these guys are not volunteers they are paid employees so therfor should be performing to a satisfactory level. I honestly believe we would be better off umpiring our own games then have some of these blokes . The old guy called Bob that did our 20/20 game on Sunday had two hearing aids and im pretty sure nodded off a couple of times. some of his decisions were disgraceful and little things like counting to six not the hardest thing to do for 20 dollars an hour I wouldnt think.I would like to say this is not taking anything away from Western Youth they won and the game was played hard and tough while in good spirits but come on I am asking us to all stand up together and demand better because this money is coming out of our clubs and could be spent on much more worthy things.I believe the ASCA is now in a great place where we have all worked hard to build strong succesful clubs and deserve better from our association so Russ or whoever sort it out before i get banned for life

Seeing you don't reply to e-mails I'll try on here, send me an umpire report for both Saturday and Sunday and we'll do something about it properly. Bitching on here isn't going to get you anywhere.

Correct weight ! Jabber is way over reacting to a one line comment ..... again . I was just throwing up at where you draw the line in aranging one dayers when everyone else is playing ? As chariatable as you were last week Storyoftheyear would you do the same in the rounds leading up to the finals if needing an outright to get in ? At the end of the day its your job to get the team to finish as high as possible on the ladder.

Umpiring was terrible in our t20 game. No doubt about it. However, it doesnt excuse the behaviour of the morphy parks lads at the end of the game. That was as bad as i have ever seen.

Bob Harris (both umpires were named Bob), was terrible. There was a straight drive that bounced between 10m-15m inside the fence. I went to retrieve the ball which was close to the road after it had rolled. I picked it up, turned around and witnessed him signalling a 6. I ran up and said it bounced atleast 10m inside the boundary. He then said 'i asked you once what it was, you didnt respond so i called it a six". i replied 'pretty hard to here you when im chasing the ball that has rolled a fair way past the boundary. couldnt you hvae waited for me to return to the field an dask me again?". Bob replied " oh i didnt think of that"
The bloke has no common sense, he doesnt communicate one bit (neither does Fradd for that mtter). The umpiring standard is definitely dropping. An umpires report will be filled out for the t20 for sure, and the marks will not be favourable.

Much the same as you were commenting on something and have every right to do so no matter how un-informed you are, which for the record is plenty, I also have just as much right to make my comment which is that you have no idea what you are on about.

You are becoming a master at making comments from afar, i believe the ferry avenue goal square is the closest you came to the club on the day is that correct?? Go get yourself stuck in a lift again, that was when you were of most use to PFCC.

I don't think Storyoftheyear would be as charitable if he needed an outright.... but neither would any other team in the league ?! More importantly though Jabber would never ask that of him if they needed an outright so ridiculous, hypothetical comment really....and as for making it his job to finish as high as possible on the ladder, he aint doing too bad with 2 from 2 and highest quotient up to now :D Just pointing out the obvious.
