LP should be playing B Grade and opening. the 1st time he makes B Grade runs he will be straight in the A Grade. Has plenty of potential and is a great bloke to match.

Why isn't he in the B's now though ??

Gets one game in the B's then gets dropped, need to give a young bloke at least 3-4 games up there to see what he can do

Would love to play against him !!

He has played two games in the B Grade and made 2 and 0. Those games were not consecutive either. I would like to see him play 3 or 4 straight games. We do have another younger guy opening the batting in our B Grade though so it is hard to fit both of them in that top order. Definately should not be batting number 9 in our C Grade though. Is definately a future A Grader for us.

Yeah There is still alot of work to do from our point of view. we have been in this position before. We do have alot of very good young talent though. I am 21 and there are four 20 year olds and a 17 year old in the A's plus about 4 players in our B grade under 20. So the future definately looks bright.

The future has been bright for a number of years though Sarge. It would be great to see you guys up in section 1 but you have to stop relying on Mal, and Joz and the older blokes like them in finals, some of the younger blokes have to step up this year and make a impact in the finals as i beleive that has been your down fall in recent years.

I agree with that. In that GF against your mob a few years ago Mal made more than half our score. In that GF the young guys probably made about 20 runs between them.

I think now the club is really starting to see the rewards from a few years ago when they chucked a handleful of us 15/16 year olds into the A grade but now is the time for us and we are pretty determined to make this one count Macca is keeping us very focused and leading by example from rd 1. But our stars have been our younger blokes this year Mac, Fords and Maccas lil brother Jib keep an eye on him he is a gun.

Fordy and Macca havent looked like getting out when they bat and it would be a waste for them to stay at this level any longer both gun bats (And Bowler and Keeper) just need people like myself to pull there finger out!

out of the five other teams still in contention for a finals berth, ICC, Warradale, Plympton, keswick, and kenilworth, who do you think will make play off in the finals with you blokes. Warradale would have something to prove but, havent they lost Deniet, i think he is going interstate?

We beat icc and kenilworth by over 100 runs. Keswick are very dangerous always we beat them in a one day match. We have 303 on the board against plympton so we will see how we go tomorrow. We havent played warradale yet i think they will be big a test. Icc sharks and Keswick had very good bowling attacks showing why Fordy is the best bat in section 2 making 117* and 99 against them.

I think that Sheidow Pk should beat Warradale comfortably as they struggled in section 1 and if Sheidow want to play section 1 then sides like warradale should be easy pickings. It will show where Sheidow Pk are at atm. I am not sure of their bowling but i know some of their bats and they will do well in section 1 lets hope the young ones make sure thats where they are next year.

no matter what happens at the end of the season, for the good of ASCA it is imperative that Sheidow Park cricket club plays in the section 1 competition next season regardless if they win the grand final or not, IMHO

be just about a first I reckon, nice cool breeze blowing, great day for the fielders and bowlers, pretty impressive though winning by 15 runs and taking the new ball, obviously very good bowling and fielding or very slow batting

I think we bowled very tightly and they did bat a little slow but our fields didn't let them get away with too much it was a long hard slog in the field. Thankfully we didn't have the heat that the sides who fielded last week had to contend with.

We have a new contender for a finals spot now... Westminster! They beat coro rams outright and have moved up 1 game out of 4th spot with a fairly easy run home, mitchell pk, plympton, morphys, and glenelg, they are in a pretty good position.

Absolutely terrible effort from the ramblers. You wouldn't believe some of the shots being played when we were trying to avoid an outright. Westminster have solid bowling line up, but I don't think their batting is good enough to challenge the top teams. They have given themselves a chance now anyway.

Very true along with Coromandel who beat North Haven this game Westminster could win the lot of them but will be challenged by Glenelg and Plympton. It will make for an interesting run home for all the sides in the top 4. I know we have a tough run home with South Rd, Keswick, North Haven and Coro Ramblers all good sides. If we win two of them i think we will make it.
